I’ve never been a big fan of hide-and-seek horror games like Amnesia. I’m more of a fan of survival horror games such as Resident Evil 4 Remake, Dead Space, and similar titles games that let me fight back against enemies. However, Amnesia: The Bunker has created such an amazing gameplay and resource management system that, while I cannot kill the main enemy, I don’t feel helpless. Every death and mistake I’ve made is my own doing or perhaps just a bit of bad luck. Nevertheless, this game is a masterclass in horror, avoiding cheap jump scares, loud screams, or predictable set pieces. Being trapped alone in a bunker with a monster you can’t kill, while a war rages on outside, creates such an atmospheric setting that I would recommend anyone try it at least once in their life.

One of the best zombie shooter, the workshop also help extended the playtime with the help of custom maps and campaign.
