Base game is fantastic. Definitely recommend. Had an absolute blast playing through and collecting everything around the islands. Soundtrack is absolutely fantastic. Story is forgettable but gameplay makes up for it.


However… the optional DLC is another story altogether. It’s SEGA’s answer to the claims that the base game was too easy (it was). So this time they flipped us over and has their way cuz holy moly it’s ridiculous. To the point of making it completely and utterly not worth it. It’s artificial difficulty, and it’s not fun at all. And not because “skill issue” no it’s because it’s actually not fun. It’s not well done.

Pauses in animations ruin fluidity, convoluted new gameplay modes make for the once concise modes now feeling confusing, and the map that was once clean and beautiful now looks like a child’s bedroom floor covered in a mess of lazily splattered toys.

It’s a mess and absolutely not worth wasting your time on.

Tl;dr: base game good, optional DLC very bad

This game is an absolute masterpiece, and an absolute piece of ♥♥♥♥, all at the same time.

This game has been the source of some of the funniest moments in my life, and also some of the most frustrating. My first play through was entirely solo, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved the stealth aspect as well as slowly and methodically taking out enemies.

My second play through I did with a friend, which I 100% recommend as this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hilarious at times. The civilians will just jump in front of your car, if you shoot a civilian's car they'll jump out and get immediately obliterated by on coming traffic, sometimes they'll just not stop when you're in the road and reduce you to atoms (this can be both funny and frustrating).

A lot of people take this game super seriously which is fine, I do too sometimes, but man when you just play this game to have fun, whether it be by running around decimating with a shotgun or just running over your friends, it's amazing.

The graphics are stunning, sometimes I just stop and look at the sunset/sunrise and appreciate its beauty.

I will continue to play this game forever. I love it.

Oh, all that and bringing down the horrific cartel is very satisfying. Good and honestly pretty accurate story!

15/10 would SH!T BALLS again!

This game is beyond amazing. 100% recommend.

Gameplay is smooth.
Gunplay is top tier.
Music is god tier.
Story is aight but that's fine cuz combat is more the focus.

If you want to feel like the biggest badass on Mars, play Doom, because in this game's case you literally will be.

Fractured Space is a 3rd person space MOBA. You command massive battleships, all with different abilities and uses, in 5v5 skirmishes. The goal is to capture the enemies home base and protect yours all at the same time, general MOBA in that sense.

This game is absolutely fantastic and has amazing potential. Sadly the player base is fairly small making the game queue times uncomfortably long. The graphics are stunning and give you a real feeling that the ships in game are what real life ships would look like in such a time period. The game suffers from poor optimization, making the required specs to run this game at max graphics with acceptable frames difficult; some definite attention is required in that reguard.

Some of the ships in-game are overpowered, such as the Destroyer, but not enough to be game breaking, and usually are counterable. In some cases the matchmaking system is also frustrating as it tends to put more experienced players in with new players, but that's not always an issue.

Overall this game is definitely one of my favorites and if you like space and MOBA's, then I totally recommend it.

Warframe is amazing, I definitely recommend it. You would think a free to play game would be kinda meh, but tbh it feels like an $80 game. They've put everything they have into it and you can really tell. A lot of love went into this game.

Edit: After almost 2000 hours in, I still agree with my original review. However, Tencent is about to buy this game, and if that destroys the game, you can expect to see this review change. Till then however, this game is still god tier and deserves much praise. This has been an incredible source of fun throughout high school and now my adult life.

Try to play this game with others, it makes an already enjoyable game even better. I love you Warframe, stay true to your roots.

Edit 2: After nearly 3000 hours, this game remains my favourite game of all time. Get it right tf now. FOR THE QUEENS.

Edit 3: I have now reached 3000 hours, and I have owned/own every item in the game. The New War is an absolute masterpiece, there is no other word for it. Worth the years of waiting.

Edit 4: About to hit 4000 hours and am half way to MR35. Still my favourite game of all time, and has yet to become uninteresting. Mega hyped for 1999!
