This game is a great multiplayer experience! I'm a fan of stealth games, so it immediately appealed to me. But then I got my brother into it (who doesn't like stealth) because you almost guaranteed to get found and the scramble to run away is a huge part of the fun! I'm only halfway done and looking forward to playing more

I got this with Humble, and I'm genuinely surprised how much I enjoyed it! It's good fun for the first couple of hours and I'll probably go back and play every once in awhile. There are some annoying rng achievements though. Took me a good 2 hours of grinding to get them all

Fun little puzzle game, reminds me of a mix between Minesweeper and Picross. The infinite part is nice in this one, so you can always do a fresh puzzle when you're feeling bored

It's an enjoyable entry, but VERY different from the other games. Because this is a shooter, the story segments are broken up a lot more, so it feels more fragmented. But, it was still cool to learn about Komaru and see more of Toko as a character. The dialogue between them is written with the class as the main games! That said, this is an even darker story than the main games. Like it deals with some really disturbing stuff. So just be warned.

Gameplay is pretty easy. Nothing really worth mentioning. I'm always up for companies trying things out of the norm, so I'm happy with Despair Girls!

Play it if you've gone through the other games. If you haven't, this is not worth playing for you.

I REALLY enjoyed The Swapper. I was not expecting much, but the story was thought-provoking, the puzzles were well-crafted, and the atmospheric music was perfect!

It says something to me when I beat the game in 1 day, I never do that with games :0

I love this series! Especially since they've made so many changes for the better, and the whole experience is way more enjoyable! I was part of the lucky few who got to beta test this game and the devs really seem to want to make the best game possible!

Now enemies are defeated with 1 correct attack, which is awesome. It still can be difficult because of how many kanji you learn! Each section has about 12 lessons with 6 or so kanji each, so it can be quite the memory struggle. I had a notebook beside me so I could reference it.

What's nice is even if you don't know hiragana, there's a mode that let's you just learn the kanji without hiragana. Though I would still recommend learning it (maybe try out the first game, it definitely has its faults but still great for learning)!

All in all, this game is just so much better than the other games. So much more content, better battles, more characters, and you learn a lot more! It's worth the $10 if you're learning Japanese!

I really enjoyed this! They fixed a lot of things that annoyed me from the first game (set turn order, random encounters, not knowing the health of enemies) and it felt A LOT smoother of a game. And it's just fun to learn Japanese this way!

I did find it interesting how they removed vocab for the final section like how they had it in the first game. That was a good way to force you to review some of the words. ANYWAY this is still a great teaching game!

This is a really good way to start learning Japanese! It's a decently well-made game and enjoyed my time playing it! Some of the systems are a little bit annoying (constant random encounters, not seeing their health bar), but all of these were fixed in the sequel. But this is still a great place to start!

I voted this for the "Defies Description" award because every time i explain what this game is about, people give me this blank look of "why would you want to play a game of kids murdering each other???" Like just GO PLAY THE GAME, YOU'LL UNDERSTAND!

As a huge fan of the Phoenix Wright series, the trial aspect of the game interested me, and the reviews are incredibly good, so I gave it a shot. Ho boy am I glad I did!

The story is absolutely fantastic, each of the characters are interesting, and the trials are super well-made and thought out! Every time I look at or think of this game, it makes me smile because of the rollercoaster of emotions it throws at you.

TLDR: THIS GAME IS AMAZING! I'd recommend to those that don't mind reading and especially those that like the Phoenix Wright series!

I think it takes a certain person to like this game. It's a game that takes you back to when flash games were all the rage, so you have to enjoy the style.

You also need to like difficult games (note: i don't feel this is a punishing game). If you die, you have to restart the whole mission over. But the key for me was that I learned from my mistake when dying. I always felt like I could get a little further next time, maybe search for a flank route to get behind a group of enemies. There's not a lot of strategy to the game, but I like the simplicity of it!

Also, turning off the safety and the manual reloading is kinda fun!

I'd recommend this game because it is fun for a little while and seriously, for $2 I think it's worth it!
