Early Access Review
This is one to keep an eye on.

For the longest time as one of the initial supporters, I thought that Void Interactive just took my money and ran. With absolute radio silence for over a year and very little in terms of updates/communication, followed by an extremely unimpressive PVP build, I thought this was just another empty early access promise that would never come to fruition.

Then came this update. These devs pulled an absolute 180. The game is 100% headed in the direction of the spiritual successor to SWAT just as they claim. The atmosphere is dark and dingy, the weapon animations are on the same level as AAA studios, the audio and music is thunderous and immersive, the gunplay is realistic and fluid, and even in this early stage the AI and team interaction shows promise. It also performs very well, and has a fairly decent amount of content (not *really* $40 worth imo, but there's a good amount of modes to explore). It's clear that these devs are fully committed to their original vision and in this age of constant disappointing AAA release after another, it's a breath of fresh air.

While the circumstances of them releasing into EA so early are unfortunate, I would definitely recommend this game due to the fact that similar to the likes of EFT or Ground Branch, it provides a truly unique experience that you can't get anywhere else. Please consider supporting a studio that is working hard to bring a one-of-a-kind experience, and putting true "tactical" shooters back on the map.

This game should have the Tom Clancy name removed, as he would never condone bowing down to any type of communist oppression of any kind, even in this context. It all started with the ridiculous in-game text chat filter, then with the teamkilling criteria, and now this.

Do not support this greedy, inconsiderate excuse for a company, and the fact that they hold the rights to the "Tom Clancy" name is a disgrace.
