one of the best horror games ive ever played. truly frightening, challenging, and an amazing tribute to the original Alien film. also probably one of the best and most convincing AI systems ive seen. you cant really cheese the alien or take advantage of its limitations. its often unpredictable as well.

the best dead rising. though the timers are also super clunky and executed poorly. i got soft locked because one of the missions became impossible due to in-game time passing doing without me actually being made aware that the following mission has a hard time requirement that's separate from the usual timer. had to reload a save.

STARTING THE DLC HAS A CHANCE TO COMPLETELY WIPE YOUR SAVED GAMES WITH NO WAY TO GET THEM BACK. THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM FOR YEARS. THIS PORT SUCKS.

PC port locked to 30 fps. Rather than actually fixing it CAPCOM just tells you to edit an ini file. And when you up it to 60 FPS the game practically breaks and becomes unplayable.

Forced auto-aim you can't turn off.

The actual gameplay is very fun though. Just a bigger, better, more free Dead Rising 1 and 2. If you liked those games you'll enjoy this one. The story and characters are even less compelling than usual for a Dead Rising game. The protagonist has nowhere near the 80's action hero feel of Frank or Chuck.

Buy it on sale. Full price is NOT worth.

this game freakin rocks but god its so frustrating. clunky controls. terrible AI. every single objective in the game is timed so you're discouraged from actually exploring and messing around. one of the boss fights in the middle of the game has a hidden timer behind its real timer where even after beating the boss you'll still get the failed state and have to restart the game to avoid being soft locked.

the game is iconic and a blast but god theres so many moronic things that make it play like crap even for a game from 2006.

A truly unique and amazing game. It can be incredibly frustrating, especially because there are mechanics the game doesn't explain to you or barely explains at all. I quit two playthroughs midway through out of frustration, but looking back both of those were mistakes. Don't go into this game trying to be perfect, roll with the punches. If you do really screw something up that you didn't want to, you can reload a save, but most mistakes are just fine.

The story is absolutely superb. The gameplay is incredibly unique. Love the characters.

basically plays like an older amnesia. pretty fun. though whoever had the bright idea to require you to manually swing your mouse around as the main form of combat against tiny spiders needs to be put in time out

not as good as the dark descent or the bunker, but still a solid horror game. found myself frustrated sometimes by the fear mechanics and some puzzles and monsters, but nothing game ruining. just took more time to push through.

pretty fun, but also a little short. game only took about 5-6 hours to complete. but still a really great horror game. classic amnesia experience with puzzle solving and anxiety..
