Early Access Review
Gorgeous graphics and Initially very fun once you get the handle of movement and weapon handling. However it needs some serious tweaks and I can't recommend it in it's current state due to the below:

- Some of the most popular levels are designed in a way that encourages just sitting outside of your spawn and hiding in the shadows.
- Bad game mode design:
- The bomb game mode is terrible lol you can literally plant the bomb in your own spawn and have the rest of your team camp and guard it.
- TDM is really an elimination game mode with 1 life per round and will arbitrarily award wins to the Counter- terrorists in scenarios where it is 1 v 1 and the timer runs out, which makes no sense. I spent most of my time playing this as I found it to overall be the more balanced game mode despite this.
- The deathmatch game mode will have you spawn right in-front of other players, and there is a weird spawn invulnerability that will sometimes allow people who spawn in-front of you to take a magazine to the face and take no damage only to then shoot you.
- If the host leaves, the entire lobby is closed and the match is over, so it can be a complete waste of time.
- No auto-balancing for teams, so if you are losing a game, you can simply switch teams before the last round starts and up with a 8 vs 2 lobby.
- No team chat, only proximity voice which doesn't have a great range so expect to have very little teamwork with randoms.

Overall, there is some very good potential in this game and I hope despite the very small and probably inexperienced dev team that they can shape this into something proper, but it is currently better to wait and see.

If you are a fan of X-COM style games, definitely worth checking this out. Nice spin on the formula, really liked the characters and the world building. Can be quite tough initially, but once you figure out how to setup proper ambushes and avoid tougher enemies until you are ready it's pretty satisfying to clear out entire camps.

Overall very solid game, would recommend if you enjoy the prior games with some caveats:

Pros:
- Very solid story, some of the main story cases were pretty unique and interesting
- Enjoyable side cases, I especially enjoyed the aspects that would involve substantiating your choices with relevant evidence
- Great atmosphere for the location of Cordona with a caveat discussed below
- Solid graphical upgrade from the previous entries, as well a more streamlined presentation for inspecting and collecting evidence
- Despite a different take on the character the younger version of Sherlock grew on me, as did Jon and how he interacted with the story and world

Cons:
- Performance, I had occasional stutters despite more than exceeding the recommended specs, and the pop-in was not great but honestly didn't bother me too much considering the budget of the game
- Combat is bland, I didn't feel like this was really a necessary feature as I've never played these games for this type of gameplay. Resources from this would have been better spent flushing out the cases and detective aspects of the game
- Lack of traditional puzzles, some of the cases involve reconstructing the events but aren't really any puzzles that I enjoyed from the previous games. Additionally, only being able to see in black and white when reconstructing events was sometimes more difficult than it should have been as it was hard to make out the detail of what you were looking as a possible event.
- Open world, while it does add atmosphere initially, there is not really much to do to really warrant it, resources would probably have been better spend on very detailed hub style areas

Nice step up from the previous games. I installed the external 4gb patch and didn't have any issues with game saves or crashes. Very nice to see the graphical upgrade from a new engine. Puzzles were challenging and generally pretty fair. I would probably rank this second after Crimes & Punishment as my favourites of the series so far.

Worth checking out if you enjoyed Crimes and Punishment. They took a bit of a different approach with this game to include a bit more action which I could take or leave, but the core of the games and cases still remains pretty solid.

Good case variety and interesting game play. My first time trying this series out, definitely plan to give the other games a shot on the strength of this game alone.

Very underrated, definitely worth a play if you are a fan of the previous games. Like Unity, I was very impressed with the setting, industrial London is a character in of itself.

The story was solid, and I liked that the side activities/territory control missions were actually relevant to the overall story.

One of the more underrated entries in the series, despite the rocky launch and occasional bug.

Very solid combat and the setting is one of the best so far, the crowds and attention to detail are some of the best I've seen. The story is solid, nothing special, but I enjoyed Arno as protagonist as well his relationship with Elise. Overall, I recommend it, especially if you can get it on sale.

Easily the most solid gun play out of the entire trilogy. Definitely a different style of story telling than the other two games, but it's still an underrated gem that is worth playing and that does that series justice and closes out the story.

Early Access Review
Still needs a bit of polish, but considering it is still in early access this game has a lot of promise. The developers also do a great job of providing regular updates and post on the state of the game and addressing the player base's concerns.
