Technical issues:

Input reader:

-If you play a shoto, get ready for the "Magic DP". In this game, if you do a fireball (⬇️↘️➡️+P) and then do another fireball (⬇️↘️➡️+P) . Even if you end on forward you will get a dragon punch (➡️⬇️↘️+P). No reason why, you just do by design. Seems like legacy input reading design that is not needed IMO.

-Supers, (⬇️↘️➡️+⬇️↘️➡️+ button). It is terribly implemented. It requires at least one down forward ↘️ (On leverless control especially). Making very difficult on any input device because 9 time our of 10 your are mashing it out. This was not the case in SFV. You could do ⬇️➡️+⬇️➡️+ Button and get Super. Its infuriating as getting out your super in the clutch is a game of craps. Terrible input reading design.

Game Mechanics/Design:

Drive Impact (DI): It is so boring. Feels antithetical to neutral. It's not a fun mechanic and it should be punishable on block. It is not and easily spamable. Terrible game design.

Drive Rush (DR): It would be fine but it eats you inputs. This feels terrible and if your opponent DR a lot you will be missing directionals and cant even down back sometimes and will just eat DMG. Terrible designed again.

Parry and Perfect Parry (PP): Parry is ok but PP is so random and way too powerful (Completely switches momentum). They should have just removed PP and made Parry a more utilitarian tool. Make it more akin to Gill Parry or Akuma Parry in SFV.

There is a great game in there but DR, PP, DI, and super input are my problems (Basically the Drive system more than anything), and can be handled way better by just simplifying it. Kiss it...(Keep It Simple Stupid).

I dropped this game. The leads Nakayama and Matsumoto do not understand what makes a great SF. They devolved the game into a series of random encounters and over emphasized offense and penalized defense in an egregious way. They need to hand this franchise to other more capable and understanding hands.

Amazing game and story telling. X-Files meets...IDK Twin Peaks? Fringe? Regardless, the writing, gameplay, pacing, directing, acting, etc are impressive and this is one of my favorite games ever. Cant recommend this game enough. Buy it now!

Crashes randomly, stay away. Only game I have pre-ordered in the better part of a decade due to my high opinion of devs Guerrilla but that's gone to hell....

Update: After several patches this game is in a way better state and its a great game. Still should not have been released in the state it was.

This game is only good if you never intend to play online. Great game design wise, but netcode is cancer. Get anyother fighter other than this one if you enjoy net play. Played 5 ranked game, all 5 bars, and every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game has roll back but still "5 bar" connections. Bullcheet, invest in this games netcode capcom or get off the pot.

Bots, i stopped playing the game years ago for this reason and unsurprisingly is still an issue.
