Played Suikoden 1-5, this game tries to be faithful to the series and I can't help but compare to 2 and 5 as those 2 are my favorite. Plotwise, it has some convenient plot Armour, not that flash out nicely. Not impactful like Suikoden 2. Battle is familiar to series veteran which i like. Music is ok. Mini games can be more sophisticated to draw me in more. Alot of looong corridor... Still, nice that this game is released.

I feel ya! Suikoden 2 is GOAT! This one sounds like it's trying too hard to be like it. 😔 I get what you're saying about the plot. The mini-games need some spice too.
