Usually I get random invites and people expect me to accept it, nay ace, if you want to invite me, you gotta comment on my profile if you want me to accept it and with valid reason why. There are exceptions of course and they are:
1. I have seen you around playing with me same game or in same server * of course if I will recognize your name and if the name matches with your Steam.
2. You have 4 of my friends on your friend list.
3. You were my friend in past and you wish to add me back. *Depends what kind of history we both had*
4. If I consider your profile is good and acceptable. *Depends on your profile* which after you'll be promptly asked for the reason why you added me if the comment was not made on my profile.

Ignore one of these 4 requirements and that's a one way of me removing/blocking you. Can't really help it.

Online: I will answer to message asap, but if I am not responding, either I went somewhere or just forgot to put Away

In-game: You can still send me messages but just know that I might be busy in-game so expect my answers late, but sometimes I do answer as soon as I get messages.

Away: Either watching movie or gone making food etc. You can still leave a message and I will check it.

Snooze: I believe you're smart enough to figure out what that means... You can still leave a message and will check it out after I wake up.

Busy: I never use it, due to my multitasking abilities, i never find myself "busy" unless i'm packed up by some stuff irl or in-game.

Looking to Play: I never use it, since I always find games to play by myself.

Looking to Trade: You'll never see me looking for trade, in fact I don't ever use it. You can still make an offer and we'll see how things will work out.

Offline: Same principle with the Snooze but I also might be gone somewhere aka MIA. You can still leave a message until my return.
