Project Moon's early work was a little too "new wave" for my taste. But when Library of Ruina came out in '21 I think they really came into their own—commercially and artistically. The whole game has clear, crisp gameplay and a new sheen of consummate professionalism, which really gives the game a big boost. They've been compared to Mega Crit Games, but I think PM has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor. In '23 PM released this: Limbus Company—their most accomplished game. I think their undisputed masterpiece is Don Quixote, a character so lovable, most people probably don't read all of her lines. But they should, because she's not just about the adorable gremlin status and the fangirling over fixers—it's also a statement about putting on facades around your peers and recovering from trauma.
