The game is what it says, a cozy, post apocalyptic survival simulator. There is something strangely calming about living a peaceful life after the end of the world that says "even when the worst comes to pass, life goes on". The two main annoying mechanics of hunger and electrosites can be disabled in the settings with the coziness meter, which I appreciate. The survival and automation mechanics are not perfect, but it is fine for what the game is. The game gives you a lot of long term goals that you work towards early on, and that certainly helps with my drive to keep coming back to the game. The art direction is also quite fire, with the robots being adorable, jacuzzi loving machines and the world being vibrant and colorful. Overall it's a game with a lot of soul that keeps me coming back despite being a bit rough around the edges, and if the game looks appealing to you, give it a try

Fantastic RPG in the setting of Warhammer 40,000. The story is engaging, the characters well written and voice acted, and the gameplay is quite varied. You will hop between anything from conducting investigations by talking to NPCs and exploring the environment, to charting and exploring the Koronus Expanse from your ship, to ground and naval combat. Owlcat nailed the setting more than many other pieces of 40k media, with a good mixture of grimdarkness, satire, and genuinely interesting storytelling. There are some mechanics that are extremely annoying (leveling up characters and equipping items onto them is time consuming and confusing, Navigator's Insight can be annoying to acquire and can potentially softlock you, the conviction system does not seem too important to follow until it's too late to seriously affect it, ect) and there are many bugs still present that can hamper your experience, but most of the issues can be mitigated with the Toybox mod if you do not wish to wait another year for the game to be fixed. All things considered, despite its faults its a game that I can't stop myself from wanting to do another run of, and I enjoyed my time with Rogue Trader thoroughly

Pretty fun to explore around in, but the game does not launch anymore. Install Tale of Two Wastelands to port this game into New Vegas' engine if you want to play it

I never thought I'd see a game pull off live service better than Deep Rock Galactic, but here we are. Having every battle across all platforms contribute to the Galactic War gives the community something to rally behind in real time and gives the game an ongoing player driven narrative

Coming from a New Vegas stan who hated 3 and 4 while trashing 76 for years, I have to admit, Fallout 76 has the best story and worldbuilding of any Bethesda Fallout, with the gameplay and graphics largely being a refinement of 4. Appalachia is stunning and an absolute blast to explore, with a massive amount of quests and content to keep even solo players entertained for hours. I adore how Bethesda integrated the local culture and folklore of Appalachia into the game, with cryptids such as the Mothman, Grafton Monster, and the Flatwoods monster being represented in the game (and Mothman being a major part of the story with the various sects of the Cult of the Mothman). Fallout 76 is a departure from the single player games of its predecessors, which is a departure almost as big as the switch between the isometric 2D games and the 3D open world ones, and as such its not for all fans of earlier Fallout games. It's an MMO, which entails things like grinding for high level loot, microtransactions to keep the servers online, lack of modding, ect, but also entails things such as being multiplayer, getting constant content updates to the game for free, a major emphasis on cosmetic customization, and more. If you understand and are OK with playing a Fallout MMO, you will have a great time with Fallout 76

Early Access Review
On day one of early access Salt 2 is more polished than Salt 1 was on release. Runs great on Steam Deck too. If you want a relaxing single player version of Sea of Thieves, Salt 2 is your game

I've played with the new DLC for a while today. The new tank designer is very fun, but I certainly see in the near future the system becoming pointless with meta tank builds. The overhauled supply system adds in an entirely new dynamic to the game where now you are not merely focused on encircling units and taking victory points, but also railways and supply hubs to cripple your enemy while also slowing down how fast you can go on the offense even if the enemy forgets to scorch earth. The new officer corps overhaul makes a lot more sense; now instead of Uruguay understanding the intricacies of using close air support in conjunction with ground units, you can only progress through your doctrines using army, navy, and air xp, meaning that you have to be at war before you know how to fight properly. The weather changes will make the Winter War a much less one sided fight, with severe attack penalties and defense buffs in deep snow combined with poor logistics making it a more historically accurate fight. Lastly, the new focus trees are absolutely insane for each nation, though truth be told the Soviets are the only one I actually enjoy playing as Poland and the Baltics are still balanced to be double teamed by the two most powerful nations on earth. This DLC and its changes will surely affect the meta of Hearts of Iron IV for years to come

Early Access Review
Basically warband but better, except with some early access bugs and higher requirements than warband. If your pc is literally a toaster, don't be surprised when your game crashes or runs poorly
