The game could be great and almost is. The possibilities are immense and they are fun. From trading to fighting, from piracy to management. However, it only is so as long as you don't dive too deep.

Everything is hidden behind horrible UX that fails to guide or explain itself, a lot of things are broken or missing, specifically concerning management of trading aspect. It's impossible to set up logical, easy to understand supply chains between your own stations (your stations need to have money to trade with your own ships), some ship management settings work for some situations but refuse to work in others, and so on. Then there's friendly fire that's extremely sensitive. During a massive fight one someone you were helping out got grazed slightly? Well, now you need to fight them too.

I'm leaving this review with the hope that any future updates or the next iteration in the X series will fix the jank, the bugs, and find the U to meet their X, and make this actually great and enjoyable rather than an experience in debugging game issues through reddit and forums.
