Don't let these BS negative reviews sway you. The frequent mention of this content not being available in Singleplayer is misleading. All of this content is available in Singleplayer Practice Mode which makes sense given these new maps are not involved in the campaign. The two modes are barely different and a sandbox application for the new maps makes far more sense at this time anyways. Now I won't deny that it is a weird oversight to omit these maps from the campaign mode but I am pretty sure that with the many complaints, this will be resolved in time. The maps are well worth the money, if you enjoy this game and especially if you keep replay value in mind, you'll get well over $10 out of this, don't listen to the whiners, its fine and is totally functional.

EDIT Regarding performance issues: You NEED a solid PC to run this game comfortably. Lots of people are going into this game with a low to mid-tier PC expecting results... sorry its not happening. Launching through DirectX12 runs almost flawlessly for me. Small hitches when loading and entering new areas but nothing game breaking.

I wish I could've refunded this when I had the chance... first 2 to 4 hours were nearly flawless performance-wise, and I was having a blast. Then I was released into the open world, and the problems began pouring in. It's absolutely mind blowing to me how the playability has actually gotten worse over the patches, WAY worse. Really wanted to enjoy this, it looks and feels brilliant, but it's damn near unplayable now even on low settings. I hope to come back and re-write this after technology seemingly exceeds the game's issues and a 5090 can just crush the game (or whatever we have by then).

Specs:

- I7-8700K

I'll just say it up front with no reservations... This is the best game I have ever played. Simple as that. Believe it or not, I wasn't truly hyped for cyberpunk until a couple weeks before release. Not that the material that CDPR was showing wasn't interesting, I just didn't feel a definite hook through their promotional material. It was only until the Night City Wire presentations where I truly became interested in this game. It was a long road for sure though, over 8 years of development and anticipation with a multitude of delays and obstacles along the way.

Enough about the backstory! I just wanted to give you a picture of how I thought about this game prior to launch. To elaborate upon my opinion, I have never felts so immersed, attached, and obsessed with a video game world and the characters within it. I have played through the main story two times now but have had four endings by reverting back to saves before critical decisions. Each of these four out of many endings gave me a nearly equal emotional reaction. A couple of the endings even made me cry and go through a legitimate mourning period over the game being over or a character's departure. Night City (the game's world) is the most detailed and immersive city I have ever seen in any game and it could very well be the most technically advanced location in gaming so far. I came to adore so many characters (especially Keanu's character) to the point to where I would genuinely miss them if I hadn't seen them pop up for a while.

All of the mechanics in this game felt nearly perfect to me. Gun-play is fluid, satisfying, and has some of the best sound effects I've ever heard. Driving is WAY better than I expected and is really easy to get used to (driving can occasionally be glitchy when it comes to any sort of collisions). The dialogue feels genuine and has purpose in the story, world, and your relationship with characters (dialogue has never been this fluid and seamless in gaming). There hasn't been a single mission that I haven't enjoyed. Every main quest and side quest I have played so far has felt important to the world and to the main character. Side missions even have a huge impact on how your main missions may play out. Characters have never felt so real in an RPG, Keanu Reeves' character starts out simple and then becomes extremely complex and goes through some serious character arcs depending on your choices with him. Almost forgot, the soundtrack is one of the best pieces of music I have ever heard and one of my new favorite OSTs (coming from a working musician who makes, teaches, and produces music for a living).

I'm not going to say anything about the story because this game is absolute best going in completely blind. If you haven't seen a lot of the trailer's or promotional materials, stay away from them if you think you want to play this game because there are major spoilers right out of the gate in some trailers. I wish I could've unseen the cinematic trailer so I couldn't predict the first four hours of the game.

So! That's a lot of praise, are there bad things about this game? Of course, it's buggy and some mechanics could use some tweaking. Before digging into the cons of this game, I want to address the ridiculous amount of hate and toxicity that this game and CDPR are receiving. Don't pay attention to ANY of it. Thousands of people and journalism outlets are trying to cancel this game because it wasn't perfect on release which is absolutely unfair. Yes, I understand that the game is pretty much unplayable on base PS4 and XBOX One, but you are reading a steam review for a reason, you are on PC, and the game works here. I genuinely feel bad for the current gen console players that are struggling with the game and I hope their issues get ironed out.

What's important to consider is that CDPR has come out and acknowledged their bad calls and improper approach to developing the console versions of the game, on top of this, they have offered refunds to console players and have promised significant patches on all platforms that are estimated to fix the big issues by the end of February 2021. So if you'd like to wait two to three months before picking the game up, go for it! Just treat it as another delay. But if you are someone who is able to tolerate surface level bugs that rarely if ever break the game, I think that you will find that this game is a fantastic creation from CDPR and I would consider it a technical success and milestone in gaming history. People are forgetting that The Witcher 3 (often considered one of the greatest games ever) released a buggy mess similar to Cyberpunk and CDPR kept their word and patched it all up.

Back to the cons though! Sorry, it's easy for me to go on tangents with this game. Some of the enemy and Civilian AI systems could use some touching up, I didn't start noticing issues until later in the game but sometimes enemy AI can just clump up into groups making and not spread out making it really easy to just gun them down in one magazine. Civilian NPCs will panic/run for no reason. I'd like to see the gun/weapon stores to see a content overhaul, I never felt compelled to buy a gun because none of the one's on sale had impressive stats compared to the weapons that I found throughout the world. The menus and inventories aren't entirely intuitive or user friendly, they can be hard to navigate and can even not function as intended, they get the job done though. There is a save limit that makes it difficult to revert back to important saves when necessary which is weird because The Witcher 3 had unlimited save slots that allowed you to revert back to any point in the story as long as you had saved there.

The cancel culture being built around this game to snuff it into the ground for honest mistakes and infrequent bad calls from a studio that is 99% consumer friendly (more than any other triple-A company) is absolutely sickening and unfair to a developer that has put years of hard virtual labor into this massive game. No game has ever been perfect on release and people need to just expect this not. I don't condone releasing it broken and fixing it later but we also have to understand as consumers that we contributed to putting Cyberpunk in this position for over-hyping the game as the second coming of Christ just because The Witcher 3 was amazing. One masterpiece doesn't automatically mean that every creation that follows will be equal or better, that's not how it works.

Regardless of what's logical, I personally view this game as a masterpiece and think it is absolutely worth full price (especially with the deluxe edition style bonus content that comes at the base price). Like I said, if you want to wait for the patches, feel free! If you want to buy it now, feel free! It works, it's not broken. Your immersion may be broken by a plethora of distracting bugs but none of them are enough for the game to garner hate, nowhere close.

(DISCLAIMER: You need a top of the line tank of a machine to run this game at a comfortable level, don't go complaining about performance if you are using hardware from previous generations, seeking an upgrade when possible would be extremely beneficial to experience this game. I'm running a GTX 1080 and an I7-8700k and this game is a struggle to run a consistent 60fps on anything above medium settings.)

Pros:
- Story is S Tier
- Amazing Side Missions (that play into the main story)
- Breathtaking Characters
- Masterpiece of a Soundtrack & Great In-game Music
- Stunning Open World (One of the best ever!)
- Good Driving
- Fantastic Gun-play
- Consistent & Functional mechanics
- Fluid/Seamless Dialogue

Cons:
- Lots of Bugs at the moment (rarely if ever game breaking) (potentially immersion-breaking)
- Occasionally Confusing Menus/Interfaces
- Occasionally Dysfunctional AI
- Awkward Save Limit
- Gun/Weapon Stores are Almost Useless

Absolute 10/10 even with the bugs and minor constraints, just buy it!

I should start this review off by saying, I have not played the original Resident Evil games, nor have I ever been a huge fan of the series (until now). I'd also like to preface that Resident Evil 2 Remake was one of the best single player games I have ever played, I bought it on sale not expecting too much and was absolutely blown away. With that out of the way, here is my opinion.

This game has been quite polarizing, there are people who enjoy this game a lot and may even put it up there with RE2, then there are those who don't like this game for it's linearity and the fact that it is missing many sections and locations that were in the original RE3. I do understand people's problems with linearity, I won't lie to you, A LOT of this game is indeed scripted. I also understand why lovers of the originals would be disappointed after seeing that sections from the original game are not present in this remake. After having said that though... I absolutely loved every second of this game. The only huge gripe I have is that it's short! I wish it was much longer but sometimes it's the short and sweet games that effect me the most so It's not too much of a problem. I'm normally not a huge fan of linear games but I found myself totally okay with how this game handled a linear story line. I enjoyed the gameplay despite a rather clunky feeling dodge mechanic that often caused some frustration. Any downsides I name from this point are simply nitpicking, I'd like to be thorough and give a good picture for what I found good and bad. I was also very invested in the story and characters, I loved all of the characters in this story, most of them even more than the characters of RE2. Down below will be a list of my pros and cons along with a concluding statement on whether this game is for you just to shorten this up, I don't mean to write a freakin' novel about this.

Pros:
- Great story with amazing and likable characters
- Gorgeous graphics with many changeable options
- Smooth, mostly fluid gameplay (slightly faster and smoother than RE2)
- A few awesome new enemy types and some new weapons

Cons:
- Clunky dodge mechanic that is difficult to get the hang of
- It's a pretty short game (roughly 4 - 5 hours)
- The occasional low quality texture (few and far between)
- There isn't as much of an incentive to explore like in RE2

So is this game for you? Well that's mostly for you to figure out looking at this information. I do believe people are being a bit harsh towards this game, It has come to mostly favorable reviews but some of these negative reviews are a bit far fetched but I can understand why some may be left wanting more. Here's my take on it: If you loved Resident Evil 2 Remake and don't mind some extended linear story, I'm pretty sure you'll thoroughly enjoy this game. If you are a hardcore fan of this series and looking for a faithful remake to the original RE3, you may find yourself disappointed here. Lastly: If you're someone who is new to this series like me and wants to get into these newer entries, I'd pick up Resident Evil 2 Remake first and play through that. That game really is the definitive experience and if you enjoy it, go ahead and get this one as well because you'll like this too. Also a reminder that there are free demos for both RE2 and RE3, so go play those first and if you like them, then both of these games are just more of that, so that should help to influence your decision. Simply because of the short length of this game, if you're not in a hurry to play it, it may be best for you to wait for a sale, It's really hard for me to justify a $60 price tag here, it's borderline pushing it for me. these RE Remakes seem to get low prices fast, I got RE2 for $20 shortly after release so it shouldn't be too long. Thank you for reading! I hope this helped.

Adrift is a slow paced, atmospheric, space sim of sorts where you play as Astronaut Alex Oshima stranded in space after a mysterious disaster leaves your space station destroyed. You have a straight forward goal of figuring out what may have happened, getting key parts of the station back online and finding a way to get back to earth.

Adrift can be played with VR or without, I myself played through it non-VR and enjoyed it quite a lot more than some other people may, simply because I'm a space nerd and I pretty much love anything that involves space, especially if the atmosphere is delivered on such a stunning level as this.

Adrift's core gameplay loop has you floating around your destroyed space station following waypoints that have you gather items or information critical to bringing the station back online. You can also come across optional areas in which you can listen to audio logs or read emails of members who were previously aboard the station and the life's they lived before the incident which can sometimes be interesting but most of the time, I didn't find myself all that invested in that side of the game. I won't hide the fact that you complete these tasks in a VERY slow passion due to the zero gravity conditions and the need to conserve your suits oxygen my minimizing movement. While slowly floating from point A to B using your suit's realistic yet propulsion system, you will need to grab oxygen canisters to fill your constantly depleting oxygen along the way. For the time you are in open space and not inside a station complex, your oxygen will ALWAYS be depleting. The more you move or use propulsion, the faster it drains. You need to be smart about the maneuvers you make and how you time them to get to where you're going. One thing that helps in this situation is the game's realistic simulation of inertia, which is something many space games can get wrong, But in this case it works very well. Every movement you make is uninterrupted until another surface prevents you from moving any further (An object put into motion, stays in motion until another object or surface prevents such motion). This well implemented and subtle concept allows you to look at where you are going, fire your propulsion forward in that direction and not have to touch your propulsion again until you reach your destinations, you will just float slowly but surely straight to it (if you aimed it right). Although the oxygen gathering is quite a primary and frequent mechanic, It can sometimes feel like it is actually the only thing keeping you busy while moving from one point to the next. Other than oxygen, there is really nothing else to focus on besides your objective on the mini-map. This really does end up being the case though, It is how the developers intended the game to be and it could be a positive or a negative to different types of people. For me it's not really a problem, but it can get pretty tedious. It is clear though that this game is made to instill a sense of isolation while giving you quite a large broken station to explore orbiting an insanely life like earth down below.

I really did enjoy Adrift despite it sometimes feeling empty... But that may actually just be the point of the game. It's meant to make you feel small and alone with little to do or work with but to just find a way home, and it does that very very well. If you are someone looking for an action packed, nerve racking space thriller like the movie Gravity, This is definitely not the game for you, But if you're a patient and casual player who just wants to experience a short but fantastic looking and feeling space experience that has you on a specified mission, Then I think this would be a great title for you to pick up. It doesn't have a whole lot of replayability, but for some reason I always find myself coming back to this game simply for the dang near perfect atmosphere of space. The atmosphere really does it for me and this truly is an atmosphere based game from the core. Adrift is worth a look for anyone interested in a good looking yet simple atmospheric space experience.

Pros:
- Gorgeous visuals all around with stunning atmosphere (No not that atmosphere! Stop looking down!)
- An easy to follow, mostly linear goal
- Great controls and physics simulation

Cons:
- Can get tedious
- Mini-map can sometimes be confusing (due to there not actually being any directions in space)
- Relatively uninteresting side story

Rating: 8/10

Early Access Review
Hands down one of the best co-op games I have ever played. Such an original concept with stellar gameplay and a beautiful art style, I can't put it down, everything about the game is so satisfying. Definitely does not feel like an early access title, it is totally worth full price. Buy it! Get your friends to buy it! And have a good time.
