It is certainly a very engaging and compelling battle royale game. Many charismatic characters to choose with their unique capabilities immediately draw players in and deservingly. Respawn truly nailed the feeling of many guns that can be obtained during the game. They feel unique and useful in their own ways while NOT being too repetitive which I value a lot as many games of this kind tend to treat guns very tediously and only care about skins. This game has some painful monetization moments but it's, I assume, Electronic Arts' influence.
The game's graphics are really quite nice for the fact that battle arenas are huge and this boosts the feeling of epicness during many chaotic shootings. Playing this game with friends will certainly improve your experience but playing on your own can be fun in its own way, too. My favourite battle royale game on the market for sure.

It feels quite bad to give this game a positive review because of the fact that Hi-Rez cares little (if at all) about balance in their own game- not to mention the fact that this game looks almost ancient at times even though it's not a very old game. Bugs in the client, in-game, random crashes, random connection issues on the server's end- hardly a pleasant experience

However, the afore-mentioned problems apart from balance may annoy just at times while it has to be said that the amount of content this game has and continues to deliver is astounding in a very good way. A true fan of this game will have a lifetime committment and it deserves to be appreciated. The vast array of gods available to play makes Smite a very versatile and unique MOBA game, espcially that it focuses on a third-person view control of the character instead of the well-known bird's view in games like DOTA and League. The game itself isn't overly complicated but is rewarding to master and emphasizes a lot of skill. It is a true blast while playing with friends so I cannot say that it isn't worth at least trying out.

No one should ever challenge why long-lasting Left4dead 2 is and no one should be surprised either!
One could say it looks and feels overly simplistic but I honestly believe it is the game's core charm.

Our main task is to defeat hordes of zombies and evacuate the infested city. This works brilliantly
The weaponry has also been expanded compared to the previous instalment of the game. I can now confidently say that the arsenal at our disposal is substantial. Baseball bats, axes, crowbars, katanas, pistols, rifles, shotguns and many others will help us have a great time chopping down zombies. There are quite a few more gameplay modes than the first instalment. The gameplay, especially shooting, requires getting used to it as it feels much more clunky than firing guns in other FPS games. It is not a dealbreaker by any means though.

Thanks to the very low entry level into the world of L4D2, almost everyone is able to find their way around the game. The game offers a pinging system, hints and markers to help new players. It also has a very strong community, so far creating all sorts of mods and entire, huge campaigns to download for free from Steam Workshop.

It is also, for me, a great hub for playing with friends. When we don't know what to play or just want to relax and talk to each other or quite the contrary, we want some action and challenge --> we launch Left 4 Dead 2. The game is super satisfying and generates a lot of fun situations, which means it doesn't get boring even after playing the same stage over and over again.

I can therefore wholeheartedly recommend it to almost anyone looking for a good title to play with a group of friends.

After 11 years of waiting, The Spellforce franchise has reignited all its hardcore fans and made some more people interested in it. It also turned out to be a prequel of the entire trilogy which gave the game some potential to explain and expand the lore of the previous games while simultaneously sparking interest in new players who had not been exposed to the title.

And I dare say this canonical prequel did a good job overall. It introduced many important characters and explained numerous intricate relationships between magic and the world of the planet Eo. The narrative journey provided by the developers was very enjoyable (or at least definitely approachable) for both newcomers to the series and seasoned fans who know the first installment like the back of their hand. The plot mainly focuses on a certain intrigue that the heroes will have to confront. It starts quite calmly, but the further into the forest, the more will happen, and our battles for the fate of the world will become more challenging. Fortunately, on Eo, there are still plenty of people sympathetic to our hero and his companions, so we will often have the opportunity not only to lead our team of tough characters but also entire armies as the game is a blend between an RTS and RPG.

The unique charm of the SpellForce series lies in its magical blend of RPG elements with real-time strategy, focusing on different races. The first and second games were celebrated for their flawless execution of this idea. Hence, the third installment had to live up to fans' lofty hopes. Considering that a studio inexperienced in this genre could face various challenges, SpellForce III manages to grasp the essence of the series admirably and delivers it sufficiently although not without some flaws. The AI very often resorts to cheating, especially on high difficulties, producing units continuously even if you try to be clever and strategic and you block their supplies. This may disrupt the balance of the RTS game and it sometimes does, unfortunately. I also have to add more criticism to how the AI sends waves of units in a totally predictable, uninspired way which should compromise it's economy but it doesn't because the AI can cheat. If you do not mind playing on easier difficulties or generally not find it too problematic then I'd say the RTS is going to be mostly fine for you. If you are a hardcore fan of RTS- this game MAY be a disappointment.

The game looks beautifully done and the sceneries you are going to find yourself in may very often be awe-inspiring and breathtaking. The developers truly tried their best in creating a magical and atmospheric world with a stunning graphics.
The soundtrack of the game is truly spectacular. I can very rarely say that the music is always on point and sounds epic when it needs to, sad when it needs to, scary when it needs to and all tracks feel impactful, not just a mere background sound you'll forget in a second.
Voice acting in this game is pretty much top-notch and dialogues are very well-written for the most part, making the process of immersing yourself in this world a piece of cake. Combat is intuitive, looking dynamic and fluid.
The RPG aspect of this game is rather simple but it works and I can say that, especially for people who do not like overly complicated options while creating and leveling up a character- This game's approach will be very appealing. It doesn't mean that players that seek something more will be necessarily disappointed. I wouldn't place myself in the first category of people I mentioned and I still enjoyed it and had no criticism regarding the RPG aspects of this game.

This game's definitely worth trying out. It's a unique game on the market and one of (if not THE) precursor of this genre. The Plot, characters, music, combat, graphics and RPG aspects are good or great. Those RTS aspects are lacking but It would be way too harsh a statement to say that purely for this reason this game is not worth being recommended to people.

This game should be looked at for the fact how much freedom you have in playing it. Traversing through a dangerous world of Skyrim may take a very long time, even without mods. The world in general is magnificent. The number of encounters with interesting caves, forests, stones, shacks, dungeons may even feel limitless for people. So many atmospheric places are what Skyrim should be proud of. There are so many mods for this game that even after you feel you are done exploring, they can rekindle your journey and add so much to the game. Mods do so much for the game it's hard not to mention them.

The gameplay is fine, literally "learning" how to do various of things including alchemy, combat, magic, sneaking empirically is an interesting and welcomed idea. Combat is okay but feels a bit sluggish and awkward at times. Again, mods can help you a lot with this. Graphics are definitely okay and music can occasionally make you google it.

The actual story, though, is below average. It unfolds slowly and boringly, the main character lacks personality and the idea of you creating that personality for your character is nice in theory but fails to deliver in practice. A few missions are really interesting and engaging but I'd consider them a minority, as sad as I am to say that. The concluding mission looks epic but feels mediocre. For people, who value a gripping, exciting story, Skyrim might be a great disappointment.

However, for people, who love role-playing their games, Skyrim can possibly have an "infinite" potential waiting to be explored. Overal, the game is not perfect but is definitely worth recommending. For some people it may end up being one of the best they've ever played and it has received a wide recognition not without a reason.

One of the precursors of the narrative movie-like game genre. The first season of this game received a game of the year award and it is hard to be surprised. The game tells a gripping story that makes you keep on thinking about survival but at the same time, you need to consider that maybe the dead are not necessarily your primary enemy.

I am absolutely biased and I am not afraid to admit, quite the contrary, I'm proud to say that this is one of my best games of all time in terms of how emotionally invested I was in the story. Clementine's character is widely recognized as one of the most influential and cherished video game characters in history. It feels fitting and well-deserved to witness her entire story being revisited with stunning visuals and complemented by a wealth of additional content.

Speaking of which, when it comes to assured content, players can expect a substantial 45 to 50 hours of gameplay from the narratives alone. This estimate applies to those who choose to engage in the ever-evolving, interactive experience and complete it just once. Telltale's The Walking Dead, based on Robert Kirkman's comic book series, immerses players in a zombie apocalypse, emphasizing the significance of their choices. Unfortunately, not all choices truly matter but I can absolute forgive Telltale for the fact that back then most games wouldn't do it any better in this genre. Of course, right now, in games like Detroit: Become Human, the number of choices and their sheer importance greatly outperform The Walking Dead's franchise but it needs to be remembered that the first game was published over 10 years ago.

Gameplay primarily focuses on dialogues, where players must select their responses carefully, as each statement MAY significantly impact the unfolding story. You never know what actually matters and what doesn't but I count it as a benefit of the game. Unpredictability is very often a great feat making the player more emotionally invested in making decisions and weighing one's options. The choices made can turn allies into enemies or vice versa, and there are time constraints in certain situations, forcing players to decide quickly or face consequences. Silence also carries its own set of outcomes. Besides dialogues, players face crucial decisions, often involving life-or-death scenarios, where they must decide who survives and who doesn't. Combat exists but mostly involves hitting button presses in time. Every action holds some weight, and playing consecutive episodes in the Definitive Series heightens the intensity, evoking a range of emotions in players, for people who get attached to characters easily and are sensitive in nature- this game can milk you dry out of tears at times.

A game that has been so impactful for many people cannot go unnoticed and is an excellent choice for newcomers who seek a story that will keep them captivated for long, even after the game has been completed. Try it for yourself.

In spite of my huge sentiment towards Overwatch, having played hundreds of hours, it is unfortunately impossible to give the game a positive review without feeling massively guilty.

The percentage of people displeased or utterly appalled by the game should warn you before alloting money to Blizzard. Back to Overwatch 1 times, new game modes were introduced along with seasonal events, allowing players to participate without any cost. Players received free heroes and could obtain cosmetics for them through the previous lootbox system. Even if players didn't spend money, they could still earn in-game currency, which they could use to save up for the desired cosmetics and skins. Overall, it created a player-friendly experience where everyone could engage in the game and obtain rewards. Unfortunately, the company operating this game, as of now, is primarily focused on maximizing profits for them, often at the expense of their customers, who feel exploited.

It's not all, this game is called Overwatch 2, which implies it's a new installment over the now gone Overwatch 1. Unfortunately, it's all just a digit. This game is practically just a huge update to Overwatch 1 and a huge slap to the face for people who had bought Overwatch 1 and now lost their product and got the worse version of it. The trick is, there was a story PVE mode of the game promised to players back in 2019 that left people (myself included) super excited. It took the company a few years of supposed development only for all of it to be completely scrapped and cancelled. Initially, the hero mode was planned to offer extensive cooperative story missions and hero missions. Players would have been able to level up heroes through skill trees and unlock customization options, altering their abilities to craft distinctive playstyles. Blizzard has mentioned that Overwatch 2 will eventually feature some PvE content, although it won't be as extensive as what was initially promised before the game's launch and the very glimpse of what had been promised that is now in the game feels truly laughable. Right now it's really just Overwatch 1 but everything costs real money and characters are no longer unlocked for everyone by default. Instead, you are faced with the monotonous grind of the battle pass. Hardly what any fan of the game had dreamt of. Many people felt lied to, including me. It is a complete farce.

Visually, the game has seen enhancements in lighting, shaders, and various effects like fog and cloth physics. The heroes also received updated appearances, although the extent of changes varies. Blizzard introduced advanced audio features, altering weapon and footstep sounds based on the environment using the Convolution Reverb System. However, despite these improvements, Overwatch 2 maintains a striking resemblance to its predecessor, Overwatch 1, in both its user interface and the interactions and dialogues of the in-game heroes. Overwatch 2 has transitioned from 12-player matches to 10-player matches, altering the team composition to include one tank, two DPS, and two support heroes on each team. This adjustment is VERY perceptible in gameplay. For instance, tanks are designed for aggressive strategies, resulting in a faster-paced and more agile gameplay experience in Overwatch 2 compared to its predecessor. This is approach is liked by some and hated by some and it's entirely up to you what you think of it. I personally do not mind this as much.

The only positive thing (sort of) that can be said about the game and that still makes me play this game, especially with friends, is that the key strength of Overwatch 2 is that it is still Overwatch. Despite the updated menus, introduction of the battle pass, challenges, and revamped maps, the game preserves its unique identity as an FPS that values and rewards diverse skills. Despite the additional layers, Blizzard has managed to retain the distinctive features of the original game and THANK GOD because otherwise the game would have probably been shut down by now. I like the new things such as maps or characters that are being added but quite honestly, it eludes my understanding - why would this game be called a sequel?

With the number of dreams shattered, utter falsehoods and predatory monetization- as much as I still enjoy the core gameplay of Overwatch 2, it cannot ever be recommended to anyone. It is a huge shame that other games of the kind such as Paladins or the now iconic Team Fortress 2 could be a fun alternative but are ultimately a downgrade with their own problems, too and cannot quite replace Overwatch, at least not for me.

In games like this one, the plot and the style of narration are crucial. "The Quarry" is a classic an a cliche tale about a group of young people who have to survive a night at a summer camp, disturbed by some sort of an evil. A typical slasher embedded with a typical for American teenagers sense of humour which may or may not be to someone's liking.
Everything unfolds rather slowly, the exposition is lengthy but I think it is to the game's benefit. I believe this approach was successful at making us find our favourites and characters we do not like as much instead of jumping right into the action without us being even remotely interested in the characters we could save (or not). The characters are likable and well-written. The character gallery here is impressive, and although we can control possibly nine of them, we also have a strong supporting cast. Recognizable names with a long history in the horror movie genre have been hired for the game: Lance Henriksen, Lin Shaye, and David Arquette. The overall experience is dense and diverse.

At this game's core, like in any game from Supermassive games, is making decisions. Treating this game as an interactive movie is essential as the typical aspects of video games like exploring the world are present but greatly limited. We are like directors in a way. However, we don't have absolute power and the action doesn't always go as we wish. Sometimes it's hard to predict what awaits us on a particular path, but after all, this game is all about unpredictability and I don't think it's a bad thing. Of course, some people may be appalled by the fact that you cannot control absolutely everything but I treat it as the advantage of the game, rather than it's weak point, especially in a horror game. Creating a complex decision-making system has a direct impact on the storyline. Seemingly straightforward dialogue at the beginning of the game or a trivial choice can only have consequences hours later. However, as the animated, humorous tutorial informs us, there are no wrong paths here because every move we make pushes the action forward, even if it results in our favorite character losing their head. It is a slasher stylized to take inspiration from the 80s. The blood is supposed to be spilt and it WILL be spilt.

The QTE sequences of this game are EXTREMELY easy. This eliminates not only the sometimes unwanted nervousness but also the tension, because typically a potentially dangerous decision doesn't carry any real risk. So, if you are going to die, it won't be because of a failed dexterity sequence but an unfortunate choice- I personally think it's the better way, though.

In my opinion, The Quarry is an excellent proposition for those who have never dealt with games from this company before, with a low entry threshold. Seasoned veterans can expect a familiar and beloved entertainment, a light, vacation horror, pulled out of an old box of cassette tapes ;)

This one was a surprise for me- a pleasant one to be precise.
This game stands out with its atmosphere and a pawn system which is absolutely original and not found in any newer games on the market. It is also one of the coolest unique features in video games I've encountered for a while. Most games focus on making our enemies unique like Elden Ring. This game, instead, does it to our allies. Pawns are beings from a different realm who are devoid of emotions and independance and can be recruited in a transcendental realm that serves as some sort of a conduit between your main character and the afore-mentioned pawns. You can connect with other players' pawns and hire them to aid you in quests, battle or just to hang out with them. I wish more games tried to utilize this system.
The story of the game is okay-ish, fine. Hardly any fireworks in my opinion but it is not enough to call it bad either.
Graphics are sort of blurry as if you were surrounded by a hidden, lurking fog and I wouldn't call it a con of the game, quite the contrary, it adds to the immersion of this game. The soundtrack of the game has moments when it truly shines, otherwise it is fine but not memorable.
Combat, however, oh dear.
There are many unique classes called vocations in this game and most of them come with really impactful abilities. When you are in a fight, these fights are like less dynamic Marvel fights. You can create tornadoes, earthquakes, shooting piercing glowing arrows and such and these abilities feel monumental in combat. It is almost surprising that such effects do not lag your PC. In general, the combat aspect was a massive surprise to me and it felt truly amazing. It is far from being one of the best games but I'd recommend it nonetheless.
