I have ~600 hours experience with previous F1 titles. Played this one an hour at free weekend.

I can summarize my negative review in 2 words:

"Migrating Host"

Fix. The. Multiplayer.

As a standalone all F1 games are great, but as a franchise they kind of sell the same product every year for an AAA price with minimal changes, and the same bugs from last year.

The multiplayer has the exact same game breaking issues as the F12018 edition. On a new game release my excitement usually lasts until the first time I get stuck for 5 minutes at a blank waiting for players screen. And I knooooooow, that everyone who played multi for a few hours knows exactly what am I talking about. Actually I think it's borderline more frustrating then fun. Not to mention when you play short (5 lap) races, literally half of your gaming time is waiting.

Familiar to anyone? Codemasters, shame on you.

To be honest I feel that this attitude from the developers is simply disrespectful towards the hardcore fans. At this point, I simply cannot find any excuse for the broken mess the multiplayer is. It is simply the worse of all the online racing games, and most of the time almost unplayable. Paying the full price each year for the same broken multiplayer experience, with exactly the same problems and issues is ignorant from the developers, to say the least.

Don't get me wrong. I am a huge fan. The singleplayer is good and the game has great potential, but it is deeply infuriating that year by year you cannot enjoy your favorite racing game in multiplayer competitively.

Codemasters, shame on you.
