Huge huge HUGE warning for anyone who may try to play this game when they have epilepsy. They don't have a warning on this game or anything. Not worth the price they are asking i got this when it was .99$ and i still feel like i got ripped off, almost violated in a sinister way

9/10 is the Best rating i can give this game, its succeeds with flying colors, the combat is fluid for the most part (a few hiccups where you can shoot the enemies at times but they can't shoot you) in skill system is good and well balanced but even with doing every side objective and mission you won't be able to max out the 3 skill trees you choose to expand on after the first mission is successful (Operation Desert Spear) the characters are likeable, and you have to STAY ON YOUR TOES. How you treat characters can be used against you for both good and ill, wether you go in Guns a blazing or you prefer to do stealth, it is a fanstastic game, while there would be a few different things i would change (adding in a NEW GAME+ option would be nice so you could experiment with the different tiers of guns 0*-3*, adding in a few extra missions in each of the 4 areas would be nice too.) Other than that though i honestly have no regrets about the game it is by FAR a great example of 3rd person spy RPG though and it is well worth the money to pick it up, will last you about 16 hours the first time.

A side note, i use pistols and rifles, mainly due to the fact that the Silencer Mk3 has no damage drop off, and the first 2* pistol except damage has some of the higher stats in the game for the pistols (i prefer Recoil control, Accuracy, Stability, etc. over just Damage as you can easily boost Damage with equipment) I choose Freelancer and Operative as i like to customize my play experience from the begining rather than having my skills pre chosen for me.

It is a fantastic game as far as a zombie survival rpg goes, combat is fluid and leveling up fighting is easy, cardio not so much, just searching the places you enter helps raise your wits which helps you search faster and more quietly which is a big plus.

pros:
Graphics are decent, gameplay is good, controls are good (controller is a must for this title) music is good, the main game should take you about 20-25 hours assuming your working well on trying to beef up your main base (Synder Trucking Company is by far the best choice due to its location, how close it is to places that you can scavenge, & the fact it has 6 spots for you to set up facilities on your base) You have to constantly get supplies as you would in real life if a zombie apocalypse were to happen, and you need to be mindful of what missions you do in what order (if they tell you to assist a fellow group of survivors or go save someone unless your on a supply run and right by your base go and save them otherwise you run a good risk of them dying on you)

cons:
camera can be a ♥♥♥♥♥ at times, if your surrounded by zombies its sometimes difficult to escape and if your trying to use items mid fight you have to pretty much remove yourself from all the zombies, characters that you can recruit if you don't assist them fast enough WILL DIE, & if you save and quit missions that were availible will disappear depending on how long you were gone (1 game day as far as taking away rescources is about 4 hours)

Overall rating: 9/10

It is however a much better zombie survival game than either Dayz mod for arma 2 or the dayz standalone (THIS IS MY PERSONAL OPINION as i prefer the feel of the rpg and survival aspects of State of Decay rather than the FPS aspects of the dayz games) also if you can get the dlc for it Breakdown, do so its a good add on and it allows you to get an infinite mode that allows you to play as different characters and enjoy the game pretty much however you feel like. Well worth the price normally but if you can get it on sale, by all means pick it, Breakdown , & Lifeline up, you will be doing yourself a very large favor.

Extremely good game, great depth, good music, likeable characters, plenty to keep you intrested and searching as far as hidden treasure goes, love the cameos from various steam games (SuperMeat Boy, Spelunky Guy, etc.) Overall one of the best games i have found on Steam.

Well worth the price, the game is good, well rounded, easy to play, enjoyable the whole way through it, music fits well, i enjoyed the game best with the controller, just be CAREFUL how you dig, the blocks don't come back.
