If you are a Harry Potter fan TLDR: Don't pay full price for this game.

Long version:
Graphics: Good great. I few clippings in the mountain maps. But overall very nice and aesthetic.

Combat: Great. Very fluid. A few hiccups every now and then but with the amount of spell combos and herblore usage. You can make a diverse set of combos that can keep you exhilarated throughout the game. However there are obvious combos that you'll usually use to make it quicker. There is a caveat here: the same enemies are around. The diverse set of combatable npcs are low. Its like 20 different enemies. The rest are just reskinned so playback on this game would be low. I dont think there is a reasonable reason to replay the game for multiple playthroughs due to the regurgitation of enemies.

Story: Story for the game is honestly boring, not very exciting or heartrenching. The characters used are very boring, whiny, self entitled, and all of them are more diverse aesthetically rather than diverse for the story's purpose. You are forced to interact with characters that you may not even want to speak to. Which makes it a super linear story and not as open as you would rather this game to be. The interactable npcs in this game alone is low. And in my opinion are really horrible written characters as well. It seems the developer wanted to make this as woke as possible including every major race or ethnic group and then use that as a baseline to further the story. You have to remember this game is taking place in a English wizarding school. Where the majority of the students and staff should be English residents. However in the game they have half the teaching staff ethnic shoeins that speak in a heavy accent from their home region, and of course those teachers are the ones you interact with the most in side quests, and main storyline. Even the students that you interact with are mainly the ethnic npcs that move the story along. Not even likeable characters. For me thats just a huge pandering move that really turned me off. I want a story to make sense not be politically correct. This game is the equivalent of the movie The Great Wall with Matt Damon. That movie made no sense due to the main role being a white actor and the rest of the cast being asian (chineese) that speaks fluent english. Like that makes no sense. So why would an english school be so diverse with half the staff and students foreign exchange, when every major region in the world has a wizarding school. It just makes no sense.

Quests: Horrible. Just repetitive. Every quest turns into the same thing. Side quests are all copy paste. Same with all the tasks. Just never ending and not diverse. If they had spent more time making a diverse set of quests instead of trying to make it politically correct the game wouldve turned out better. Instead youre left with a hollow game with a garbage story. with zero replayability.

Ending note: All in all the first 2 hours of the game and the last 1 hour of the games main storyline were awesome. However with lack of anything inventive and with the world being so big and empty it just makes it not worth playing multiple times through. I went to so many nooks and crannies. Swam through the lakes to try and find hidden gems and there were not many around. One of the most annoying things was to get to the point where you get a graphorn and its just not that impressive to have. it makes zero impact in the game except to push the plot forward. Its a mount you can use but by the time you get it its so useless it doesnt even matter to use, when you can just use your broom to fly everywhere quicker or use the floo network to get around. If you want a game that has a preestablished lore that is followed to the T then this isnt that game. The amount of lorebreaking things in this game is infuriating. For example. The forbidden section in the library is forbidden/ off limits to students. But after you finish the quest where its guarded by teachers and ghosts you can walk in there no issue. Noone stops you or even comments on it. Also you cant even read any books period so there is no use to that area after the quest when you go down in there. Another thing is students arent to be out of bed after hours and the teachers and prefects patrol the halls at night. Again its not there. So you have free reign to run anywhere you want. Even the teachers dorm you can run around and do whatever you want so why even have that as a useless quest if you arent going to enforce it later? MAKE IT MAKE SENSE! Dont forget that the Alohomora charm that unlocks locks is actually a 3 tier spell that makes you do a minigame lock picking session everytime you use it. Its not difficult to do and adds zero depth or challenge to the game so why have it? It just turns into a level gate system designed to make you spend more time on the game.

All in all this is a 10hour game extended to a 30 hour game due to the developers level gating system. The only pros for this game is that the graphics are good the combat is new and refreshing and diverse combos and the flying is well done. Everything else is a con. The characters the story and the world turn it into a boring game.

1.5/10 Wouldnt play again. Recommend to only buy on a sale where its under 30$

I recieved this game from a friend and told a little about it prior to playing. The current game as it stands i cannot recommend spending money on it. I currently have 77 hours of attempting to play this title and only 7 of those hours did was I actually able to play the game itself. The other 70 hours was spent trying to get into the game itself.

TLDR: Game good, Que ♥♥♥♥. Don't buy until its fixed.

The Good:
Of the gameplay that I did play it was solid. A true gem of its own accord. The combat was good. And the ai was around mid tier of the mobs that i fought. The loot was semi balanced from what I had experienced. Crafting was enjoyable and all the skills I learned there were reasons to it and behind it. I did enjoy a lot of those aspects. There are things you have to overcome in those regards though as well since Combat is more or less from what I understood based off your skill with said combat style and tier of weapon you were using. There is an incredible difference in using heavy blows compared to light. Which gives more depth to styles of fighting. Crafting is incredibly dense and if you don't actually pay attention you can get lost quite easily. aka crafting bows is determined by the crafting materials that you are using and the skill in making said bow. Which actually boils down to how much your character understands of the materials themselves that he or she is using and how well your character understands the actual making of bows.

The Bad:
As I am sure you all have heard or maybe you haven't heard. The que times are LONG. Actually more of an extreme length of time. SV has had an incredibly difficult time fixing these problems and an even harder time plainly communicating what is actually going on to the player base. From what was originally told to everyone it was a one server game with 100k able to play on their server, but from what is currently happening at the moment its more along the lines of 1.5k to maybe 3k players on at a time with a 4-10k que waiting line. That in and of itself isnt neccessarily bad if the population and player base in the game wasn't all formulating ways to go afk overnight so they dont have to wait in que the next day to play again. This makes the que go by extremely slow. On 5 seperate occasions i have waited 8 hours plus in que trying to play the game only to close the game and go to sleep knowing i wouldnt be able to play that day. Until SV starts resetting the server on a timer every 4 hours or find a solution to combat the masses of afk players, OR find a solution for more players to make it into the game I don't see the ques getting any shorter.

The End:0
All in all if you can play the game Its very fun and enjoyable, but thats only if you make it through the que. I'll hold onto the game and pray its fixed soon

Will change review when game gets fixed at a later date.

Edit: Game still has bugs but the developers are working on them dilligently. The GM staff is friendly and very active. They all seem to care about the player base and problems that occur in the gameplay and do what they can to fix issues players are having. There is no longer the Log in issue where you cant play the game. And the content keeps adding up. Combat is still fun and diverse. Game over all very fun and with the way the devs are coming the price tag is worth.
