First, I love this game! I never thought i would get into this genre, since i am more one of the actionRPG genre and less of the time management type of games.
Congratulations for making me addicted, Team17. Good job :-)

The gameplay is based on gathering resources, manage relations with other residents of the island, whom are becoming the customers in your shop, where you sell the crafting you have made with mentioned resources.
The overall vibe is that one of a cartoony, violent free management game, but do not get fooled, because the game WILL pick up in difficulty intensity when unlocking various things and will becomes a bit more demanding than first eye would see.
Again, not a single droplet of blood or even the slightest violence is seen here, which is rare these days and i love it.

Character creation is fabulously deep (I do hope there will be even more options in the future, especially the pterosaurs are one of my favourites next to the raptor i play).
Made an error? No worries, you always can alter your appearance ingame by using the mirror in your room in the shop (looks like a TV set just beneath the bed).
Outstanding work so far!

The developers are VERY (almost extremely) active on various platforms and socials, so when there is an issue, almost certain you are being answered by Team17 almost quicker than in real life retail businesses. Seriously!

Okay, It's an early access, so bugs are expected to be encountered, but even there are solutions offered, which make life a lot easier. Softlocks and cosmetic glitches are the most annoying ones, but no real gamebreaking ones so far.
This game is meant for relaxed evenings after a hard day's work/school. Since this is a family friendly game the difficulty spike will come very gradually.

Overall, i recommend this game (base version is fully playable and luxury edition will add some more non-gameplay altering cosmetics) to everyone who want to have a relaxed free time spending behind the screen. Even maybe it's good for your kids seen this game is pretty educative on upkeeping social relations and the maths behind having a shop in a playful manner.

Score:
8/10 for early access
7/10 as V1.0 full release (bug smashing is needed still)
9,5/10 for dev team
8/10 price / playability

Early Access Review
Good Vampire Survivors -a- like. active dev and a lot of playablity. Only prepare for lag if you get near end-game zones.. Luckily there is a lag-supresser char introduced which lessens the agony. Highly recommended!

Top spel! Ik heb er al wat uurtjes inzitten en er zullen nog heel wat uurtjes volgen.
Makkelijk om te leren, moeilijk om het je meester te maken.

At this moment, the game is in very Early Access.
There will be changes through time (I think), which can alter my opinion.

The game:

Just a generic idler to run on the background.
The plot exists of filling empty big cubes with automatically generated little cubes (read: Momma says that you have to clean up yer Lego more efficiently in that big box there). Buy extra cube generating when you collect resources to fill the space faster. There are for now a couple of helping upgrades, which can be bought with earned spare cubes to speed the progress even faster.

First the good news as always:

- A fun timewaster which is not too hard for yer rig performance when letting this rip on the background.
- Easy to pick up even without tutorial, more depth later on. Keep in mind content can change (EA state)
- Numbers go big and bigger
- Active forum also on Steam. Always read there before doing stuff. Helps a lot.

Now the bad (and presumably the VERY ugly):

- Many bugs to fix. Read the forum posts to have the latest scoop on them.

-Latest update throws players with some progression back a BIG chunk.

- Remember the good part of big numbers grow bigger? Read the forum posts for exact stage, but on a certain point it's Infinity and NaN all over.. Never knew that infinity follows up directly after a certain number.. Learn the 10E*** way, guys! Breaks the game.. shame

- VERY VERY transparent, VERY predatory premium system even in EA state (not meaning ads, since on PC ad system sux against mobile versions). The method used here is "the just come short with cheaper packs for an item". Example: 10 dollar pack delivers 1% less than you need for an upgrade. Solution: buy the 15 dollar pack and keep useless change which when combined with a small pack in it's turn is, again, 1 egg shy of a full basket, if you get what i mean. This is never a good sign.

- To continue a bit on prem stuff: daily award pulls are laughable small change. Even gamble for a login? come on.. Do it like more serious dev teams and implement a daily login which incremental grows per day if you want to put in a timesink.
Oh? want bigger rewards? Just buy a frikkin "magic lowest pull dissolver, so you will get at least 1 gem more in your pull?" for quite some gems. WTF?
At least I had a good laugh here.
Thank you.

- Sometimes the devs seem to be absent for some time, which can be annoying. This probably has to do with the fact they work on several games at once, while pumping out new games..

- Very Cheat Engine Sensitive. Cheating an idler is always fun to do, right? (sarcastic laughter commences)

TLDR:

This is a mediocre Idler which is good to have something on your taskbar going. Fun to see Lego creep back in it's box out of itself.
If you just pretend the premium predatorial shop is useless is some cases, it can be fun for a day or 2. Good to bridge the quarantaine between yer test and result of king Cov19.

In this state i would say: wait until the devs are truly active and actually polish this thing which CAN have potential.

5 outta 10 for now.

Early Access Review
Melvor Idle is a gem in the making.
As it is mentioned, it is Early Access (EA) Alpha state.

The developer is keen on getting constructive feedback and is willing to comply with alterations/fixes which make the game in overall better. A good thing for an EA title and very much appreciated!

If something is wrong, just check the forum for answers and when not available, add your comment, till now it is been read.

For the Waste of your social lifetime and RSI build (Gameplay) :

The game itself starts VERY simple (do not be fooled by this, it gets VERY interesting fast enough) and builds up gradually.

A tutorial is not needed, since the game is explaining itself on the way.
You start with 1 or maybe 2 options to do. i.e. woodcutting and start a fire with the logs cut. Both give xp and resources.
This xp is especially in the start only to (automatically) unlock advanced techniques, which in their turn give more xp.
Found/crafted resources can be equipped, used for more advanced crafting or plain being sold for gold, which you can use to level (i.e. buy better gear to shorten durations/multiply chance of item gained etc.) or buy materials in the (NO MTx) shop, which you can use in crafting/mining etc.

For example Woodcutting -> Campfire: Use woodcutting to gather logs, which are used in campfire.

Resources: logs and charcoal (gained from fire)
The logs are also used in Fletching (Bow gear making) and Runecrafting (wand and staffs).
Charcoal is used as catalyst in Smithing (Steel bar crafting).
Logs are also used to buy Better Campfire, which gives bonus % on Cooking.

This is only a bit of the things to come later on, do not fret, it will become clear when you play the game!
So that's why i said.. have patience, it rewards you :)

This is done on various groups of activities. Mining/smithing, Fishing/cooking, Farming for foods and so forth.

There it get more interesting than in most idlers.
There are multiple ways to accomplish goals so it is quite openworld alike here, which is gud.

The idle part is especially in the beginning a bit out of reach, but you can always set the game on gathering (woodchop, fishing or mining) and let it go for the time being.

Gameplay depth is DEEEEEEPPPPP!

For the time being there are no real prestige mechanics present, maybe in the future? who knows?

Offline progress is enabled here and also done pretty good! +1 here.

For the Lights in your flatscreen aquarium (Graphics):

They are quite non-prioritised, i.o.w. do not expect 4k UHD ultra realistic graphics here, but the art used in the game is at least original and self crafted, which can not be said of the majority of idle games out there. a +1 here.

For the Beeps and Hisses (Sounds and music):

I cannot tell, since i do not use sound in any of the idle games is play, so that one i have to admit idk. It is to toggle on or off.

The game does get it's periodically fixes and updates, but you have to give the devs a bit of time here.
Again, constructive feedback does wonders. I do not know if the devs are very active on Steam, but they do have Discord and Reddit as i know of.

So, to be short, this game has very high grade potential, it gives a good idle gamer satisfaction level till now and the dev team is active.

Silver+1 grade, potential to go gold++ ( 7 / 10 )

Very addictive, easy to learn, challenging to be mastered. This game has also a good Wiki online.
I have all expansions and I love to play it.

Erg leuk en verslavend spel, makkelijk om in te stappen, uitdagend om het echt onder de knie te krijgen.
Ikzelf heb alle uitbreidingen en ik vind het leuk om het spel te spelen.

Nice little time killer.
The start of it is a little trial and error, but if you get the hang of it it hooks you.
Only downside(s) is/are when you let it run longer, RAM leakage will occur incrementally, just restart the game by legit quit and start it again. Also make sure Steam Cloud is disabled for this game. Otherwise it won't save.

Pretty addictive, child friendly (no gore at all, except some people may point at the possible animal abusive kind, seen monkeys have to do the work here) game.

This game is playable on as well PC as Tablet/smartphones, which adds a lot of fun, seen you can play this on your mobile Steam account as well!

The startup is quite simple, seen you do have a training mode and defensive mode (non aggresive from other player AKA eco/bloons sending).

Make sure you do edit your account name ingame.. this can be done by clicking on the bottom left avatar. No extra subscription or registering needed. The game puts in "Player" as default.

Pros:

-non violent at all
-easy to learn, HARD to master!
-no chatspams (this is also a bit of a con, seen textchat is disabled, but TS3/Vent are a possibility)
-Low system requirements (till higher levels, this can cause lag)
-bloon popping mayhem
-addictive
-this game is P2Support, not P2W.
-play against friends (crossover browser/Steam is possible)

1/2 cons:

-disabled text chat
-lag at higher levels
-rush noobs on assault mode

cons:

-goodbye social life
-goodbye good night's rest
-club rooms aren't available for new players whom do want to play for free. This can be mended by place a month trial or some **.
-fully tiered playing against new players sometimes if the waiting room is silent.

To be short, don't let this balloon game pass through the end gate!

** For myself i liked this game that much i bought the starter pack for 15 bux.. this is worth it treble.
