The main story and character building are the best in the series. The loot is almost non existent and is the worst in the series gearbox can fix this by boosting dedicated drop chances. The end game is either hit or miss, the scaling being the main issue. If you like borderlands 3 you'll like this too.

There is no joy to be found inside this long grind filled with long walks between point a and point b that will take you 30 minutes to complete a single quest. Lots of potential wasted, hopefully Amazon makes it more enjoyable with updates in the future but at the moment that seems unlikely.

At it's best I can spend hundreds of hours in a month grinding and playing with friends. At it's worst I can not play it for months. Right now it's at it's best.
