This isn't really a resident evil game at this point, but it's more than 7 was. I thought 7 was really well done but I didn't like it at all. This game, I like parts, and hate others. The combat is fun just like the old RE games so if you are coming from pre RE7 or are a fan of RE4, you will probably like this game. My biggest issue is just how little care the devs gave certain parts of the game. At a glance the game is beautiful, but if you look beyond initial shock and awe you will see tons of weak cover up for really poorly done things. Cut scenes are hit and miss as well. Some run great and look great, while others desynch with audio, or show how little the designers cared if something clipped horribly (Look at Moreau's death scene for the best example of this). I'm really conflicted on whether I should recommend this or not. I like this game quite a bit compared to 7, but I don't like it anywhere near as much as the previous titles. If you are a casual difficulty player of RE, you will laugh at how stupidly easy it is in RE8. I played through on the normal difficulty, and it was a challenge at most times, not that the game was hard, but just like 7 I never really had that much ammo and enemies are bullet sponges. There's also not a great mechanic surrounding guns. The magnum is unbelievably strong. The pistols are surprisingly weak. The Sniper is dead in the middle and I don't even know what to say about shot guns. They are strong one shot, then the next almost worthless. It's hard to even use a pistol, but you get so little ammo for other guns that you have to use the weak POS. I know pistols are meant to be the primary weapon so they can't be OP, but ffs, they are waaaay too weak. On the normal difficulty it takes over 40 hits to fight slightly harder than the general ads. On village of shadows I tried fighting the first daughter with guns... that didn't happen. After about 30 pistol rounds, 20 shotgun shells, 4 magnum hits, and about 5 heals, I died and then just dropped mines until she died and stopped playing that difficulty. I was on new game + so I had upgraded gear but holy hell is that hard. If you like a game with a decent combat system, absolutely no direction as to where you are supposed to go or what the hell you are doing when you need it, but an overly straightforward direction that is really well displayed, so you are constantly lost when it counts this is the game for you. I don't like horror games but I have to say, for that being a focus they did a great job. Screw that damn doll house man...

Long story short, I like this game, but it's not really worth $60. And ffs, don't buy the extra content. Holy hell is that a really bad money grab. The hanging ornaments can't go on any guns but the first pistol and shotgun, which are both absolute trash from the moment you get them. On that note, what the hell is the logic behind making weapons fire so damn slow? The first pistol by all means should likely be the fastest, but the 1911 is way faster and then there's the suped up glock that fires fast as well. And the SYS, semi-auto shot gun that is an AK platform, is the slowest out of the box. HOW IS A PUMP FASTER? There's so many little things that just ruin what this game could have been. Try not to look at the giant holes in the terrain or the floating rocks, and you will have a wonderful visual experience, but be lost to the depths of hell in the mansion and factory.

First off, this is not even close to a replacement for Wipeout. I have been searching for a Wipeout Fusion replacement for years and have yet to find anything that comes close, but Pacer set a new bar height. The combat is quite lacking and easily the worst part about this game. The weapon system sucks simply because you get a choice of only 2 weapons at a time, and they really don't do that much. The racing is fun simply because it is a good combo of track design and handling mechanics. The tracks seem pretty short, though I'm only at about 2 hours of play, but they are still cool. As far as I can tell, the AI literally are as dumb as they come. They wont go for any weapon pads, boost pads or shield pads, and literally all fly in the same line. If it weren't for all of the weapons being auto aim/lock on they would never hit anything. The AI and weapons are the worst of this game but in terms of just a solo racer it's fun. I've yet to play online but I would imagine it's nothing but flash bangs. If you want a fun Wipeout like game, look no farther, this will sorta scratch your itch. It's the best one I've seen so far even though it's still not that great. I'll recommend it because I think they did a fantastic job on the graphics and controls, but everything else is hardly enjoyable. -- Cool ship designs though they don't do anything.

This isn't creeper world. It feels like Knuckle Cracker wanted another entry into the CW franchise, but didn't want to make a CW game so they went halfway. Story is alright, but the game just isn't that fun. Compared to CW3, this one is nothing. Compared to CW4, this one is about the same. Compared to CW1... all three pale in comparison. I played the CW's in order, just only now got around to reviewing this for some reason. I wasn't impressed by CW2's mechanics or graphics. It's just an overall boring game. To go from the first game to this... it's no wonder 4 is as crappy as it is. Go buy the first one and stay there. That's the good, the real Creeper World.

I loved the original Creeper World to death. I still remember being in middle school, and playing the free version at lunch on the crappy school computers. I even still play the first game today, and would buy it 10 times over if I could just to support the devs that gave me that amazing game. Since then though, I haven't really liked what they do. Creeper World 2 was... lets just not talk about that one. Creeper World 3 took what was fun about the first, and put a bunch of really unfun things into it, and 4 just has more of those nonfun things. I don't understand how people can actually play this in the low camera angles. You can't see vast portions of the battle field, and need to adjust the camera constantly, so I end up just playing it top down the whole time. Thanks to the attention to the new camera angle, it is quite hard to determine terrain height in the top down view. The build menu have been split into tabs because of how many things there are, and I really hate that but it had to be done so I can't say it's a fault of the game. The biggest issue I have, is the resources in this one. You have to get the red ore to power snipers, and AA, you have to get blue to make anitcreeper, and then you have to get liftic to power the totems. I just played mission 12 Shattered, and let me tell you, I spent about 10 minutes just waiting for the damn liftic to be air dropped to the last tower so I could leave that hideous map. Shattered is the exact reason I didn't like Creeper World 3, the map looks terrible when you split it all up and put tons of holes in it, and it make the game very difficult to enjoy playing when I have to fight with single space placements just to chain 40% of the map instead of doing it like we did in the first, and fight the creeper back to claim that 40%. They added all kinds of new things, and none of them seem to work in a reasonable manner. They also just shovel them down your throat with little explanation on how to use them. Unless you are new to Creeper World, I won't recommend buying this over the first game. And even if you are new to the franchise... go buy Creeper World 1. Sure, it's a little dumbed down, but it has massive replayability and ALL of the missions are a fun and unique challenge. I'm struggeling to even want to play this game anymore and I've been trying for months now. It's only taken 4 hours to do 60% of the campaign, and it hasn't been enjoyable or memorable. I still remember CW1's campaign, and even the spec ops maps because they were actually fun to play. I've also replayed all of the CW1 missions/maps dozens of time, because they are just that much fun to play. Stuff makes sense in the old CW, and not much in the new ones. To think I was super hyped for this game too.

10 more hours----
I have beat the main campaign and have started on the stand alone levels... god I hate the fluid mechanics in this game. How can a single layer of creeper, slosh itself so damn hard against a wall, that it can scale 10+ layers... WHEN IT IS 1 LAYER DEEP. The fluid mechanic was a cool idea, but it just doesn't work well here. It doesn't add difficulty to this game what so ever, just a huge pain in the ass style of mechanic. I really don't like so much of this game, its sad. I want to love this because it's Creeper World, but I just hate every experience. I guess on the bright side, they have put something in this game that forces me to use the mortars as more than what a mortar should be. Instead of doing it like in CW1 where they target a deep pool, thanks to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ waves from hell, you have to use them as a front line weapon. Most of the time they are just wasted space, but when a wave comes if you don't have them up, say goodbye to your progress!

I bought this game years ago after watching, I believe, Arumba try it out and thought it looked cool. I played it for about half an hour and got bored. I've now played it for another 1.3 hours and don't really feel any different about it. Even now, the game looks good and runs well so it's not an issue with performance or looks. In fact, I really like the art style. There's just nothing really unique about this game and that's what bored me almost 4 years ago from the start. It's just another generic colony/city builder. There's nothing truly unique to make you want to play this one over the thousands of others. I think Aven Colony came out in a time where the colony sim and city builder genera was taking off, and it was stuck in a huge swap of other ones that all played the same. If you are a casual player, you might get a few hours, maybe even a dozen or so out of this. If you really like builders like this, you probably know many others that do everything that Aven does, but better. Again, this isn't a bad game, there's just nothing that sticks out to keep your attention. It's a city builder/manager on an alien planet, and that's about it. Nothing more, nothing less. Well made, pretty, and kinda shallow like so many other entries into this genera.

Destiny was a great game, and Destiny 2 was a close follow. For over a year this game was tons of fun, with a few draw backs that I could stomach. First off, I come from an Xbox play-through with hundreds of hours so don't let the steam counter fool you. My biggest gripe about this game has to be how obvious Bungie's hate for Hunters is. Our gear looks like crap; our exotics are crap; and our abilities, though at one point were strong, are constantly nerfed. I hate playing as the Warlock or the Titan, they just aren't as fun. But they have destroyed the little equality the Hunter had in the first game. They also decided to make all of our gear make us look homeless... so that's nice.
The thing that makes me dislike this game, is what Bungie has done since the release of the most recent DLC. They cut content out of the game... like... 80-90% of it. No I don't mean cut like COD cutting and putting it into a DLC for later addition. I mean, the content was in the game, and then they cut it out. Sure, they put a few things back in its place, but it doesn't equal what was taken and is so much worse. I'm not sure how you can reasonably have a game that people are ok with, and then just cut the majority out of it and think that's ok. Say goodbye to the old raids! Say goodbye to the old strikes! Say goodbye to the old gear! Say goodbye to most of the planets! But hey, they added the cosmadrome back in!... I actually like that part of this update but they changed parts of it and it's not the same so I'm salty in that respect.

If you were someone who bought the old DLC, say goodbye to them! Cause they have since been removed from the game (Where's my credit/refund eh?). If you were someone who had really good gear, be it good from stats or looks, say goodbye to it! It has all since been locked at a power level of 1060 and you know where the power cap for gear is now? Above 1300... oh, and all the new gear you can get looks like ♥♥♥♥. It looks so ♥♥♥♥♥♥ you know what they did instead of making cool looking gear or just allowing our old gear to go up in power level? They made it to where you can just skin armor with ornaments, that are stupidly hard to come by unless you buy the skin packs from the store and really don't look good unless you get the really pricey ones... So base armor now looks like trash (somehow more than it already did), but you can pay us more to make it look... ok! This game is fun to play, at times, but unless you give no ♥♥♥♥♥ what your character looks like; give no ♥♥♥♥♥ about grinding nonstop just to have another update ♥♥♥♥ all of your progress so you have to grind again; give no ♥♥♥♥♥ that the only cool stuff has now, just recently, been totally locked behind a pay wall; give no ♥♥♥♥♥ that all of your old gear/armor is now 100% useless, don't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ buy this game.

Bungie went down a dark hole when they gave up Halo and went to Activision. I was scared when I saw the addition of a real money currency, and everyone said it wasn't going to be like other games. To be fair, it really wasn't, and I was happy with what they did. Originally, it only had stuff that you could get, or really didn't matter like a stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ emote. But now, actual gear is payed. I was scared when I heard what was happening, then PlayStation started getting tons of exclusive ♥♥♥♥ and knew my fears were coming to be reality. Now with each update they are just beating a dead horse to see how much blood really is held in that skin sack.
Bungie died years ago when Reach fell. The company we are seeing right now isn't the same one that gave us the goliath that was Halo. It's some washed up uncle that is a fraternal twin to father we all grew up with. It kinda looks like him, but he died in a car accident and the driver of the other car was money and greed who had teamed up with our uncle to take over the empire dad made. ♥♥♥♥ Bungie and don't buy this game.

I really do love this game. From the fist one to this... there is no comparison. TF1 was like, a tech test and proof of concept. This is easily one of my favorite FPS games to have ever come out. With that being said, the multiplayer feels every bit of its age sadly. It's not bad, but playing the new "polished" FPS out today you can feel a difference. This doesn't feel bad, I still love the multiplayer, but it just somehow feels like a game from years ago as it is. The campaign will forever be one of the best I have played. The character design of BT... yes, the big ass heartless robot, is single handedly good enough for me to say I love this game. I feel that everything was done correct with this future style of shooter. COD has nothing on this game and I'm not shocked it came from EA publishing. I mean, did you guys even play Battlefield 2142? This feels like a spiritual successor to that amazing game from the early 2000's. Also, so glad of the VA for Cooper, love his voice as well as BT. The relationship that develops between Cooper and BT is like a weird cross species love story that takes a bloody and violent game and gives it something that men will cry about at the end. Did I mention there's an insane mission where you are just running around on the walls with a pistol that auto aims? Or that there is a time skipping mission that you totally ♥♥♥♥ people up by going into the present, and then pop up in the past right behind them? Yeah... I love this game to death. This is where jump jets, wall running, and futuristic BS started, and no one has come ANYWHERE CLOSE to the perfection you will see here. COD did some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ copy cat crap that sucks ass and they will never get it down. We need a TF3.

How many games give you an event titled 'A Deviant on the Loose' with a picture of a naked man only covered by a leaf whom you just found in your house masturbating on your finest leather shoes... ' "It is not what it looks like, my lord!" he claims. The fact that he is half-naked, and in the process of bodily defiling my finest leather shoes, tells me that it is, in fact, exactly what it looks like.' God I love these devs.

If you played CK2, you will probably love this game too. The things that didn't need to be complex were simplified and the things that needed more complexity were given the proper treatment. One of the biggest changes that I can think of is the military might change. No longer is your army better if you just have a bigger force. The counters of different types of troops actually works and can totally flip a fight in your favor, or badly out of it. I like that the bulk of my army is just an army, not a specific composition of archers, horsemen, swords men ect. and instead that is designated to the 'men-at-arms' or this games regiments. It makes military management much easier and I would say, better. This allows inexperienced players pick up combat quicker and even makes it more enjoyable for an experienced player.
Moving away from combat, I think almost every other aspect has been improved greatly as well. The personal focus system is a little weird and I feel that it takes far too long to get anything done in the trees to gain perks, and then losing all of your work when you die makes it almost worthless to focus on anything in the early game except for stewardship to get more taxes. I don't have enough time from age 16-death to finish even a single perk tree so I have just focused on money gain. Maybe late game I can focus on diplo or martial, but in the beginning it's tax all the way.
I just want to add, that Ragnar's kids are bigger a$$holes in this game then in the Vikings show. Holy, hell, are they a power to be reckoned with. They start with massive armies and huge portions of land which isn't a problem, but they are so damn aggressive. I started with an Irish ruler in CK2 so I wanted to do the same here to learn the new stuff. It took me about 300 years spread between 4 Irish starts to finally gain enough strength to stand up to them. Why in the world do they ignore England and go for the Irish? I feel like their aggression should be tweaked to make them go at Wessex or Mercer not Ireland from the get go. That being said, the challenge has force fed me new skills that I will undoubtedly need later in this game give how hard it hit at the start haha.
For sure if you liked CK2, and enjoy the challenge this game is great. I will be playing this for a long time to come no doubt. The graphics are amazing and I love every change they made. This is much more accessible to a first time player and the tutorial helps veterans get into the new mechanics nicely.

A HUGE issue I have with this game is the fact that tribal leaders have to have the fracturing inheritance style laws. Let me give you and example: I held the Kingdom of Ireland right? I held 70... 70 of the 73 required titles to for the Empire of Britannia. I was waging war to claim the last 3 when my character dies, ok, no prob just pick it up with my succe.... wait.... why did my army drop from 7K to 1800.... OH GREAT THE KINGDOM OF ALBA AND ENGLAND WERE FORMED, THE EXACT MOMENT I DIED, BY MY VASSALS AND I LOST ALL OF THAT ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ LAND... The game didn't say land was being inherited, the kingdoms had never been formed before when I died, and yet here I am with about 20% of the total land I had. I am ready to just start over with a mod but it took so much to beat the damn Vikings I don't want to do it again. I have had to retake England about 4 times and I am done with this stupid succession law blocking. I have downloaded a f**king mod to make the laws unblocked and will NEVER use this stupid succession again. I hold the primary title, but lose it constantly. I hold THE ONLY Kingdom, but still lose the other Kingdoms when I die to instant creation by vassals who DON'T own enough land to make them in the first place, and the game never notifies me about the loss of land on succession. I never had this problem in CK2 and don't know why this is a thing here. It's almost as if, the devs want everyone who plays as a tribal start to get a** f**ked every time they die. The laws are locked behind 2 entire era's of tech, no matter how far you spread. You need about 400 years from an Ireland Tribal start to get ANYWHERE close to the good succession laws, and about 300 years from the tolerable and logically working laws. Before then, Claim only enough land to make a Kingdom and then just sit until you have all the fascination ♥♥♥♥ show finished and hope you can still do something in the world before the game clock goes down.

I feel the law blocking that Tribal leaders face needs to be toned way the f**k down. That single change, would make this game stand above CK2 with no contest. I also think that the AI aggression and stupid expansion tactics need to be reworked. Why in the world, does a country in Scandinavia hold 2 counties in Spain, 3 in Africa, and a few scattered throughout the middle/far east? Why does a nation in Russia go for a single county in England before even considering taking land near them? CK2 never had this problem either. Rulers stayed to their realm and expanded logically without going to the other side of the damn world to so do so. I also think the army razing on rally points is a bit broken. I inherited land in Spain, and didn't realize it until I saw a war banner (I didn't even get a notification that land had been inherited or that a war was raging on me), then I went to the tiny little one county land and made a rally banner there. Bare in mind, my army 'should' be in Ireland or England... I raised my entire 6k stack in that tiny county and smashed the enemy in moments... how did my entire army move that far in a second lol? There's quite a bit of balancing that needs to go on before I can say this game is as good as CK2, but in many ways it is better than CK2 even with those issues thanks to changes they made. There's just a bunch of new issues that really shouldn't exist after play testing.

I never played this game prior to this release, and I'm not that upset about that fact. I haven't had any of the performance issues people talk about and have been review smashing it for. I do have a little stutter when I stealth strike enemies, but nothing that is game breaking.

The issue I have is the camera. Unless you use the V button - scan item - the camera will will drift from right shoulder to left randomly, and occasionally center on the player. When the camera is over the right shoulder, where it always should be, you don't run straight. The character runs in a straight line, at about a 7 degree angle to the left from center, and you stand about 2in off to the left of the screen. When it finally manages to center for a moment it doesn't feel bad running around, but you will hardly get that out of it.

The combat in the first hour of the game really turned me off. The melee is slow and rather clunky. When an enemy started and attack, I didn't have a chance to dodge because of a massive stutter that happened each time. While using the sword to attack, rather frequently I would stutter and then miss a straight on attack. The bow is nice though. I'm glad to see my Skyrim slow time while aiming made it into another game. The hit boxes don't seem to be that accurate. Close range shooting a horse in the eye and the arrow lands dead center, and gives me a weak hit. It's 50/50 if you will actually hit the weak spot.

The movement is clunky, maybe it would be better if I used a controller but I can only imagine a slight improvement. This doesn't suffer from the Witcher issue where there's 50 buttons to press all at once on a keyboard with one hand, but the clunky nature of the game just makes a pc play un-enjoyable.

The graphics looks nice. Character models seem a little weird and stiff to me even for 3 years ago. The voice recording for the main character, Aloy, seems to be corrupt. As a child (I'm a little bias because I don't like kids already), her voice is painful to listen to. Partly due to it sounding like a little child, but mainly due to the electronic feed back children's voices always seem to have when talking into a mic. I thought this would go away once she grew up. It got a little better, but was still there. I talked to several different characters and none of them suffered from it, not even the other kids.

Altogether, it looks like a nice game. Graphics are great if you look past the stiff characters. Combat is clunky and kinda one dimensional. It's like Assassins Creed met a platformer from the 90's and made a love child that is beautiful, but really screwed up. I also get Farcry Primal vibes from this, which I really didn't enjoy that game at all.

Such a beautiful game! This will never beat Factorio for me, but it is a close race all the same. I have one piece of advice, even if your computer is a beast like mine turn off V-sync. Your frame rate will thank you. There is just so much to this game. I have only 5 hrs on here, but I have played well over a hundred on Epic (I made the switch cause ♥♥♥♥ Epic).
It took a bit to find the save files and then a bit to find the right place to move them, but I have my file from EGL so I am happy. It really does seem to run a little better on Steam, but I'm not sure if it's just cause I was being stubborn and not changing my graphics settings until I made the switch.
If you are looking for a game to easily sink hundreds of hours in, and like the idea of Factorio but don't like the art/play style, this is the game for you. Logistics are up to par with Factorio if not a little more in-depth since we have the infinite(ish) height limit. The complexity of items I would say isn't as great as in Factorio, but you will spend just as much time setting up builds and perfecting them. This game is amazing and well worth twice what they charge. How the hell do you go from Goat Simulator and Sanctum, to Satisfactory? I strive to be this studio in the future haha.
