Overall, the game itself is a fantastic game. I've had loads of dumb fun with my friends shooting bugs, destroying automatons, and calling in airstrikes on friend and foe alike. 10/10 would friendly fire again.

A few things to note...

1) Helldivers 2 has an unnecessarily invasive anti-cheat. This alone may be cause for concern.
2) The publisher, PlayStation Studios, is a horribly greedy company that tried to bait-and-switch the Helldivers community. They had attempted to force PC players to create and link a PlayStation Network (PSN) account claiming that this was a requirement from the start. The internet archives said otherwise, and showed that they had edited their terms after purchases were already made. They also claimed that account linking was necessary for "safety and security." However, the same PSN has been the target of numerous security breaches, including one in which they exposed the personally identifiable information of 77 million users. Since that incident, numerous other incidents have occurred.

Defiance is great for what it is, Giant monsters and fun guns. Wouldn't say the story line is the best, however if you are looking for a casual game to play with some friends that just want to run around and kill giant monsters with a large number of other players, this is the game for you. However if you are looking for a game to be the one MMO you play for a long time you may want to look elsewhere as sometimes the game gets fairly repetetive by doing alot of Arkfalls. They seem to release new content fairly often as well. Overall, I'd say pick it up with some friends, its well worth the low price.
