This game is a beautiful offering to those who always dreamed of playing a top-down real-time-strategy game wherein they play a single unit, and must work together with hundreds of other people in order to further their factions' goals. The devs aren't afraid to experiment with new ideas in order to reach a better, more engaging result. Most of the negative reviews stem from a minority of frustrated (but extremely vocal) players who'd rather see the game stagnate into a top-down Unreal Tournament. Or players who don't realize that certain things need to be tested on a global scale (and not just in devbranch) to ensure they work well with the playerbase the game actually has. Don't listen to these people: in-game, you will find a plethora of people who enjoy working cooperatively. You'll also run into a few jerks, but don't let them discourage you from trying a very cool, very ambitious game that you probably dreamt would one day exist as a kid.
