Henry is such a dorky moron

A cool game overall. Although it should be a crime not to put a regular save system in a game with so many bugs and glitches.

THE DOGE
The dog is a neat nice addition, but unfortunately it glitches out quite often and somewhat messes out the balance of fights (especially at the beginning), as it can hold an enemy in place while you might just hack them down. Although this part tends to glitch out as well and you can end up hitting the air or the dog instead.

THE THERESA’S QUEST
If I felt like jogging and doing chores, I would leave my PC and take the garbage out! Unfortunately that’s what this questline is about – running and chores. It’s a pretty tedious and boring running simulator, where the running between the quest markers takes probably around 90% of it, sometimes only being interrupted by a dialogue, cutscene or maybe some occasional gameplay here and there.

THE JOHANKA’S QUEST
Definitely the better one of the two new questlines, although a bit too repetitive. It’s mostly being Johanka’s errand boy. And some of the errands are kind of mediocre at that. The Inquisition's Trial at the very end was a part that I liked though. It also included some neat historical knowledge about the Inquisition and the trials.

I have always been a huge Bethesda fan. I played all The Elder Scrolls, all their Fallouts, and I really enjoyed every single one. Even Fallout 76, although objectively I would probably not call it a good game (especially at the release).

But, if it comes to Starfield

25 YEARS IN THE MAKING MY ASS!

I literally had WAY more fun playing Morrowind so many years ago. I wish I had more time, so that I could create a more thorough comparison of these two. But considering all the funding, capacity and the experience Bethesda has at this point, in contrast to what they had back then, I really can't understand how they could have settled for such a stinking pile of garbage.

This game is the most lazy game Bethesda has ever created, and honestly one of the laziest games I have ever played in my life. Also, a big part of this game does not feel like a fun game, but just like a chore.

Just to name a few:

The beginning is worse.
In Morrowind, you start as a prisoner. You kind of know you are special, but what that means is for you to discover later during the adventure, and it's you who needs to prove yourself to the world, in order to be treated with respect, and later on you can really feel your character's growth. In Starfield, you basically start as a miner, and are given a big task by your boss - to dig up a very special piece of metal from a rock. For some reason you must walk the last few dozen meters of the cave alone. You do that and are given an unskippable vision that you will later start to despise when it's shown to you a 100th time. Now, the guy that ordered it all done decides touching the metal piece has made you special and suddenly trustworthy enough to give you his spaceship (even though he owns no other means of transportation), his robot and his watch, followed by a task to deliver the metal part he payed for, to a place you have never been to before. That's the Starfield's writing in a nutshell for you.

The main story is WAY worse.
I barely remember the Starfield's cliche story as of today, yet I still can recall the Morrowind's story that I finished all these years ago. The Starfield's story in an nutshell is just a bunch of bland, boring and irritating fetch quests. And don't even get me started on the Skyrim's Dragonborn to Startborn and dragon shouts to Starborn powers reskin. That's just being lazy 101.

The ending is worse.
In Morrowind, by the end of the game you basically defeated a god (or several) , you felt powerful and that you accomplished a lot. You changed the appearance of Vvardenfell, even if just so slightly. Starfield's story and majority of quests have literally no consequences. Till the end of the game, you are not even sure why you are doing all of this. There is no saving the universe, there is no defeating a super villain, there is no real gain for the protagonist (apart from a few more or less useless powers) , you are not (really) 'the chosen one'. The only real purpose of finishing the main quest is to get into the New Game +, which is treated as a part of the gameplay and story here. In my opinion it is ridiculous and a pretty bad game design, this game is not a roguelike, it's not even close...

The side quests are worse.

The factions are worse.

The NPC character designs and writing are worse.

The enemy variety is worse.

The exploration is worse, either empty spaces or repetitive randomly generated garbage collection.

The dungeons are worse. Boring, mostly randomly generated, all look the same, no stories, quests or unique items to find.

The world/setting is worse, way less believable and less interesting.

The weapons and armors variety is WAY worse. Random (useless) weapon traits is not variety.

The lockpick minigame is annoying.
Morrowind did not have any minigames, but Fallouts had two, so I will use them for comparison. At first I really liked the minigame in Starfield. It was something new, not very challenging and yet satisfying, required some brains. But the problem is (compared to Fallout) that you can't really get skillful enough in it (both in game or IRL as a player), to make it seamless. In Fallout you could get good enough at the lockpick minigame, that it would take you seconds to complete. Similarly the hacking minigame, with high enough in-game skill, you could just quickly guess the correct password, as there were not many options to choose from. In Starfield you won't have that. For every minigame you will need to spend time. And considering the amount of the containers that require lockpicking in this game, after 100+ hours you will grow to absolutely despise this minigame.

There is less armor slots.
Morrowind had a great system where you could change every part of you attire separately. You could mix and match and really customize your character. Pick heavier helmet, lighter gloves, have separate enchantments on each of them, to give an example. Fallout 4 had a very similar system, that's why I really can't understand why in Starfield, the only gear slots you get are armor and helmet (and backpack). If that's not being lazy then I don't know that is.

The unique weapons you can find are worse
(and basically worthless compared to random generated ones, still the random weapons' traits are mostly useless as well). The weapon system in this game does not feel like one fitting an RPG game. It's more of a looter shooter, and not even a particularly good one. Just decent at best.

The Starfield's weapon/armor upgrading and consumable crafting system is in my opinion WAY worse,
than what Morrowind allowed you to do with crafting custom spells, potions and weapon or armor enchantments. To even be able to do any of these things in Starfield, you need to endure hours of pain, grinding the required perks. And even then, at the cost of all the perks that you spent on leveling crafting, you could have just pick up way cheaper and less grindy damage boost perks, and use randomly generated weapons found in the world. The upgrades don't even make much of a difference in the damage output.

The writing is SO MUCH WORSE.
Quests and main story... these are mostly jokes. But even the NPC dialogues, happen to be bad. Not always, mostly they are decent. But at times, I was literally hitting the keyboard with my head, cause of cringe or NPCs' statements that make no sense what so ever.

The UI is worse.
Morrowind's UI also wasn't the best in the world, but it was at least customizable and worked well with mouse on PC.

I will expand these points when I have more free time.
