TLDR: This DLC pack is at the proper level necessary to begin the path to redemption for CA. All 3 packs have meaningful changes and effort put into them. 8.75/10

They did it, they actually fixed Nurgle economy. They actually made good on the promise to do better. They actually gave us meaningful mechanics and actually put in a clearly thoughtful effort to make things better. They actually gave us units that are pretty good (although there is the whole reskin debate, which is a pretty valid criticism. Still, this is an improvement.) Clearly, they actually listened. We have to give credit where credit is due. I would give the DLC as a whole 8.75 out of 10. This is actually worth your money. And at $22.92 the price seems remotely fair. Obviously we want everything as low as possible, and i think a $18-20 price point would be more reasonable. But this DLC pack is worth your time, I can say that without doubt in this case.

I still don't trust them. I still don't think they have done enough yet to be trusted. But this is about as good of a possible step in the right direction as anyone can ask for. This is a lesson to us though- we have to keep CA accountable or we WILL get another Shadows of Change. No accepting another pharoah. No allowing them to give a half-baked 40k game. Also CA, if you are reading this, please turn off regional pricing. It is not fair that I get to pay less because of where I live. I think if you change this policy you would remove many potentially negative reviews. I do not blame those who are frustrated with the regional pricing.

Still, we need to give credit where credit is due. We have to give reinforcement of the positives, even if the price could stand to be a few dollars lower. They did the right thing.

Ill keep this short and sweet. The setup of this remaster is, as MATN stated when he played, the "gold standard" for remasters of old games. Completely reworked systems, which are necessary ONLY if you want them, and you can pick and choose which ones you want and dont. Like the new enemy AI, but dont like the new expanded diplomacy? You can do that. Want to just play good old rome with a new coat of paint? You can do that. Want to play a reworked rome that fixes many of the issues of the original and also makes it more accessible to new players? Done. I dont understand that mixed reviews I saw last night. To an extent, yes there are some technical issues, but honestly thats more a limitation of TW:R than it is of the devs, imo. Personally mine runs fine, I do have a 3070 though, so youll have to take that with a grain of salt. Overall, unless your system is on the low end, you shouldnt have many issues. Now, perhaps I simply have been lucky, I will admit. However, in my opinion, this is a better Rome: Total War without removing the essence behind R:TW that has kept it as my favorite despite some other fantastic TW games.
Honestly the most common complaint i have seen is it "doesn't look good enough." I'm not sure if these are children who never played the original, or people with unfairly high expectations, but this is as good as Rome: Total War could possible look without destroying its integrity as a classic. If you are a veteran, id advise you not to hesitate on this one, especially at $15.0
