The best Total War I have been played (I like historical games). The diplomacy is, after all, really poor, AI could be better (especially with the cavalry) and battle with different units is some kind rock paper scissors play (not completely) but the played hours speak for themselves.

Some kind experience...

+ Graphics
+ Fun at start when you don't know all bad things
+ More features and maybe better diplomacy than Total War Rome II.
+ Some large dlc like charlemange is like new game. Ofcource diplomacy and main mechanic doesn't change.

- Multiplayer has errors like desync, connection lost, game connection lost and other errors. If you want play multiplayer, remember that part of played time is time waste.

- Singleplayer is, after all, poor. Maybe it is made quickly. AI is stupid and many units are useless and same than other factions. You have to know best unit and spam it then and win... no strategy...

- You need your imagination to fill the gaps of the game. (Not problem to me)


So... I got value for my money. But I'm patient. I rather play Total War Rome II because this has been seen now. Total War Rome II is better.

Perhaps the best early access what I know.
