No. This game is utter trash. Enough said.

I tried to like this game, I really did. But after 250 hours I couldn't.

I'll summarize the story, warning spoilers.


You are a Time Patroller of the newly found Conton City. The story is basically the same story as Xenoverse 1. It even has the same bloody places. Excluding all of the DLC Content. The events in the story were rushed and the final boss fight was not very appealing or fun. Just because a boss has so much health doesn't make the boss fun, strong, or difficult. The game continues after Xenoverse 1, and that is to hunt down Towa and Mira... That's basically it.


The gameplay is HIGHLY REPETITIVE! It is easy to get bored of and in PvP the gameplay is broken to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ max, where combos doesn't even connect to the player and you can get hit by a mile away. Moves such as: Super God Fist, Aura Slide, Justice Combination, etc. Has broken exploits that the community WILL USE just to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ win. The main problem about the gameplay is the Male Earthlings. Male Earthlings are the most strongest race in the game because of their X, Y, combo and Unvanishable Stamina Break, which ALL MALE EARTHLING MAINS USE! Even the useless characters like Hercule are strong for no bloody reason! Bandai has NEVER FIXED THIS and I don't think they will!


Some DLC this game has to offer is good, but the bad part about the DLC is that they're lazy and putting in characters that should've came out WHEN THE GAME WAS FIRST RELEASED! I don't feel to need to BUY the characters that should've been in the game in the first place to make the story complete! It's sad that MODS have better content than the VANILLA GAME. The MODS make the game actually have SOME REPLAY VALUE. The devs are too lazy to actually put in character transformations like Super Saiyan Blue for Goku and Vegeta instead of making them an entirely different character.


Bandai killed off the PC Community of this game by banning mods and if you try to play the game with mods you can't play the game period.


I admit this community is good, but it's outnumbered by the toxic and cheap players that spam exploits to win. They ruin the experience for new people and it ANNOYS ME when the toxic people brags about how good they are at the game just for spamming the same ♥♥♥♥ over and over again to win.

-Gameplay is too repetitive, gets boring in the first 3 hours.
-Little to no challenge when fighting the CPU.


I'd recommend buying this game when it's on sale or you like to play Dragon Ball Dressup. Other than that, stay away from this game.


Post DLC Extra Pack 3 Update

Recently DLC Extra Pack 3 came out, the free update was to fix the game and all of the problems that came with it. Boy never have I ever had my hopes let down for such a content update that'll save the game from utter destruction.

I will divide this section into 2 subjects:
-DLC Characters
-130+ Buffs and Nerfs

DLC Characters

The DLC characters didn't have much to offer excluding Kefla's Supers and Ultimates and Baby's Ultimate. As I don't know much about Kefla's Supers, I can say that her Ultimate will massively be used online and can be used at an unfair advantage. It is currently impossible to escape the ultimate if the first hit strikes you and that first strike has a large amount of range. Once that first strike hit you, you're basically ♥♥♥♥♥♥. As for the other ultimates and supers, they're just really damned strong, really good when you have finished a combo and such.

Baby should've been on the game when it has first released or part of the first DLC since Great Ape Baby was in the game since release. I say this again and again, nobody asked for Tapion and he had zero significance in both DLC and Story. Android 13 nobody cared about, if Dimps wanted to show more significance to the Android Arc of the story then he again, should've been in the game upon release. Then adding Buuhan was unnecessary as hell. Everyone gave zero ♥♥♥♥♥ about Buuhan's significance to the story.

The list goes on and on at this point. The only good DLC character I did agree on was the new Super characters and new Xenoverse characters such as Fu.

130+ Buffs and Nerfs

If you're ready for disappointment, you've came to the right section.

Here are the things that needed to be nerfed:
-Aura Slide's Range
-Handy Cannon's Cancel
-Justice Combination
-Fake Death's Invincibility Frames
-Male Earthlings

With this being said, my overall view of the game hasn't changed. Along with my overall view, my review hasn't changed either. Don't buy this game until a sale comes. Even at that I wouldn't waste my money on this game.

Spent 5 hours straight until 6 in the morning playing this game, first 2 hours failing consecutively.

10/10, harder than dark souls.

This game got good real fast, discount the ban wave. But the Online gameplay is very bad with lots of lag. Other than that, the game is good.
