I think we all know what the main draw of the game is: cute bunnies doing cute things together.

Just finished the game and I definitely spoke too soon about bunnies doing just *cute* things; there are moments that were pretty heart-wrenching on the later chapters and/or were revealed through the memory scenes, but that just makes the characters more endearing and how you'd root for these bunnies throughout the whole game (suffering builds character).

The game-play strikes a fine line in the middle, between a visual novel and a platformer a la Celeste; the platforming part of the game-play is tuned just right; not too hard to deter people from enjoying the bunnies' interactions, but not too easy that you can just breeze through them without failing at least once. For the visual novel part, interacting and talking with your burrow-mates will slowly fill up a bar that would unlock a memory scene that you can interact with, and I must say I definitely enjoyed the dynamics of the bunnies and how they interact with each other so far. There's an overarching story-line in the game which is pretty similar to Watership Down.
Again, the main attraction is definitely the aesthetic. I would compare the game to Cult of the Lamb; it's pretty, it's fancy, but for the core game-play enthusiasts? It's nothing too innovative or great compared to its other similar contenders.

But for the common bunnies/rabbits enjoyer? A definite buy.

Love it. Simply the best. Played an off-branch clone of the game back in the days and seeing that they're releasing a modern remake of the game, I just have to play it.
Item mode is there to please the casual players, where the speed mode is the true bread and butter of the game, requires you to have absolute control over your map awareness and your drift ability. When you messed up something, it's solely on you.

DIsregarding Nexon's well known predatory practices that they tend to inject into their games, I hope that the director in charge - same one for the OG Kartrider, can hold reign over the game for as long as possible, and can give us the same enthusiasm and passion for the game, the same that he's given the OG one. I'm hopeful but also very cautious.

Do finish your licenses.

I think people are being too harsh on Season 1 launch. Compared to Kartrider Rush+, which is on its 18th season, if I recalled correctly - which has significantly more contents than the just released Kartrider: Drift.

I'll even take Fortnite as an example; you simply cannot say that its season 1 has the same amount of content as the current season of Fortnite.

Update: They're shutting down the global servers; despite the rough launch and questionable market practices, I enjoyed the game while it lasted, it's unfortunate that the average westerners cannot comprehend the core gameplay, which made the game harder than it should be.

some follower asked me to cook a nice pile of dung for him to eat (the damn loathsome being) - so i did

game is damn fun, combat has been engaging so far; i see a bit of hades and nuclear throne here and there. town management reminds me of sakuna where you: invest in your little cult town = you grow stronger

overall, a solid game, expecting more content
