When the game sticks to stealth and sniping it's enjoyable, but as soon as it tries to do open combat things fall apart, like it's trying to be call of duty, but with aimbotting AI that don't give you a chance to breath. When you break cover, enemies are already shooting you before you even get a chance to look for them.

There's a really irritating section at the end of act two that just pushed me over the edge. Here you have to defend a position with a super janky machine gun while being aimbotted with no cover until you exit the machine gun to heal. After you finish defending there's a super small window where you have to start running to the chopper with three groups of enemies in your way that can just about one shot you - before the game punishes you for not moving fast enough by dropping mortars all over you. Also I'm pretty sure there's only one correct path to the chopper despite it being mostly an open field...

So yeah, great when it focuses on the sniper stuff, really bad when it's trying to be Call of Duty.

Gameplay: Massive Turn-based Campaign map with Real Time Strategy Battles, set in the world of Warhammer Fantasy Battles. Not as complex as other strategy game franchises but has epic battles, cool visuals, and some light rpg elements. Difficulty really depends on the individual, but it has some customization to match it to your skill level.

Pro: Assuming you can play Immortal Empires, this is one of the most expansive strategy games out there. With around 90 factions available across all three games, all with unique play-styles and start locations, Total War: Warhammer 3 provides tons of variety and allows you conquer the world of Warhammer Fantasy Battles like no other title. While not as expansive, the Realms of Chaos Campaign is just as detailed, though it does have narrative mechanics that can get rather repetitive on subsequent play-throughs.

Con: Currently in order to play the definitive campaign map you must own all three games in the series. While I think they are all worth having for the faction and race variety, it seems to me a very steep cost to access the experience most people talk about when playing this game. So in order to not blow a massive hole in your wallet, it may be beneficial to wait for sales to buy all three titles.

While Realms of Chaos is an alright introduction to the series, we're really all here for Immortal Empires. Hopefully something changes in the future to allow new players access to Immortal Empires by purchasing only Warhammer 3, but as of now you will have to purchase all three games to have the full experience.

GET THIS NOW.

(you know, if you like stealth, puzzle platformers anyway)
(Also if you are not too in to them you should at least try this one)

Definitely worth the price, (although I did get it through Humble Bundle)

Early Access Review
Hello!
I was reading some of the reviews and I found myself agreeing with many of the negative reviews.

1.
The amount of time this game requires does not allow people who cannot pour several hours STRAIGHT into taming or gathering resources. (You know people that have school and jobs and stuff)

2.
I had read in several reviews that the multiplayer is really bad. Personally I did not have much experience with interacting with other people when I played this game. However I did notice the strategic placement of pillars, clearly meant to prevent others from building there. Other reviews also said that the Alpha Tribes pretty much control anything and make it impossible to play without joining them.

3.
I felt that most of my time playing this game was spent waiting for loading screens because it crashed what felt like every fifteen or so min. (Keep in mind I last played this in January 2016, so I do not know what changes might have been made.)

4.
One reason I stopped playing this game was that, on top of frequent crashes, I found that the fps I recieved was not ideal for continuing on with the amount of effort required to play this game. I recently looked at the requirements and it shows a processor that is under mine and a graphics card that is signifagantly lower, (GPU w/ 1GB ram VS GTX 960 - correct me if I'm wrong.) This seems frustrating due the fps that I recieved. (I also have a Pentium Anniversary Processor which is overclocked to 4.0 Ghz.)

5.
The game just drops you into areas with REDICULOUSLY hard dinosaurs. The way the devs did their game is very interesting and kind of cool, but this also leaves a HUGE learning curve for new players. (especially with the bigger tribes hogging all the land or killing a new player while they are away.) I feel that the game should give more breathing room for new player to develop instead of sticking carnivores literally on the beach. (I can't even imagine what it is like further inland. - and no, i have not gotten that far)

On the subject of tribes, I was actually lucky to have found a really nice guy who actually began an all noob tribe. (The server I was on actually seemed very nice) We had a blast and genuinely helped each other out. However, reading other reviews, it sounds like this may be a difficult thing now. I don't like to hear that other players are being treated so poorly and I think it takes away from a game signifigantly when the players are not friendly to each other. Considering everything, I find myself not recommending this game.

P.S. - Please, go ahead and tell me if there are any new updates that improve performance as I have not played in a while.

PROS -

Great Graphics
Great Machanics
Interesting World
Cool Wildlife

CONS -

Abuse of Tribe System
Low FPS (as of January)
Crashes
Severe Difficulty (T-Rex , Spinasourus Rampage upon spawn)
REDICULOUSLY long taming time

I could probably say more, but I'm gonna leave it to that.
I am not a regular reviewer so sorry is my formatting is a little wierd. Thank You!

I'd like to try this game... but I can't. Everytime I click PLAY it sits there searching for a bit, then does nothing... Also, IS THERE SINGLE PLAYER??? I can't even play the game so I have no idea... I'm just glad I didn't pay for this...

Edit: Yep, still doesn't work...

Ok, I believe I may have gotten some "special" version of this game through a Humble Bundle.
But it still irritates me that I can't even play the regular singleplayer campaign. Also reading some other reviews I'm very glad I got this through Humble Bundle because I would never spend 30.00 for this. (Multiplayer unbalanced).

I don't even really have much experience with this game AT ALL but it just doesn't sound like a game I would want to recommend.

I played this a while back and at first the game seemed pretty interesting, but then I tryed to get an ATV. (I understand this may not have been the best goal ever right at the start of the game.) Anyway, I didn't appreciate the abnoxiously large expanses of nothing. My friends and I were roaming along for a few hours, trying to get to the very distant places to finish the quests to get ATVs. The questline to get the ATVs was rediculously long and it also felt like you had to pay for stuff in order to get anything good. I don't know how it is now, but I don't particularly recommend this game due to the miles of annoyingly empty expanse that I had to traverse.

P.S. I'm sure this is a great game for those who enjoy MMORPs, please make sure to read other reviews. (I'm not a huge MMORPg player, therefore I did not get very far in the game. I also had a bad experience with my friends running off and stuff.)

I actually didn't enirely realize this game was a horror game,(I was up late when I started), and the moment I found a wardrobe that gave me the option to hide in it i just stopped the game right there...(I haven't played many horror game myself mainly like watching other people play them.) Overall great game, has a good atmosphere, and the graphics look pretty good. Can't wait to continue playing!
