I wish there was a mid option for reviews. This is a fun ARPG buried under a terrible mobile business model. the developers seem to be actively making improvements based on player feedback, which is good. They have said they are changing monetization and they just released a big QOL patch with the current season, also good.

I like the art style, it's a nice break from PoE and Diablo. There is a lot of build depth and variety. Build guides are accessible in game so you can see what other folks are using or just copy/paste a build. There are a lot of currencies and game modes that give me PoE ptsd but at least you have "content" to play. the mechanics of every previous season gets rolled into the new one. End game is grindy like most arpgs but that isn't a bad thing, its just kind of how the genre is.

The story is kind of meh. Very poor localization and it is pretty short. The devs are working on fixing it but the story could still use more chapters and a sensitivity reader. If you told me the story was written by AI I would not be surprised. The hero designs could also use some work. You have your sexy cat lady, sexy robot lady, sexy lady priest, sexy sad girl, sexy lady knight, two cool bros and a child. The only two PoC heroes have have white variations, which is gross.

I am only giving it a positive review because I appreciate the game devs actually listening to, and implementing, player feedback.

This game has so much potential and is worth checking out. The art design is great and combat is pretty fun. The developers seem to be invested in making a good game and there are frequent updates. The community is also fairly nice. I think that's because a lot of them are folks who stuck out the launch and who genuinely want to support the game. I have to echo what others have said previously, there isn't a lot of content currently. Most of what you'll do is grind for incremental upgrades like in Warframe or Monster Hunter. There isn't any kind of endgame content yet. The early access launch for this game was bad, which is why there are so many negative reviews. This game is 100% still in early access so there are bugs and features that haven't been implemented yet (mounts, neighborhoods, quests, etc.) If this is something that is going to ruin your experience you should probably wait for the full release.

I'll say upfront I have only played PvE with friends. Building your castle and taking down bosses with friends is fun. The world is pretty and dashing through forests while avoiding sunlight feels good. I appreciate that in the latest update the developers added some harder monsters so the different biomes are a bit deadlier at lover levels.

I hope they keep updating this game because, because this is such a fun iteration in the survival/base building genre.

My only real complaint is there no controller support. This game seems well suited for it since the controls are pretty simple. The developers flat out said there is little chance of them adding it, which feels like a missed opportunity. From an accessibility standpoint, I think a lot of people could benefit from it.

I played this game a long time ago and was curious to see what was new. One of the new additions is having to create an account on the publisher's website to play the game through steam. I don't think so. If you don't want players to launch the game through steam then don't put it on this platform.

This game is very charming and the pixel art is lovely. I haven't finished it but I really like the game play so far. The dialog/story is a bit silly so that will be a positive or negative depending on the person.
