When the publisher for one of 2024's greatest games takes role-playing "managed democracy" a little too seriously...

Jokes aside, this is an extremely disheartening choice made by Sony, something that has robbed the game of ALL it's momentum and player base. All the hard work Arrowhead put in to making a beloved and memorable game has gone down the drain. I would like to point out that Arrowhead deserves none of the blame. They have vocalised their opinion quite strongly on what is currently going on with their publisher.

I desperately want both this game and Fatshark to succeed, as it is one of the only WH40K games that gets the atmosphere, lore, and gameplay largely right.

With that being said, I would honestly recommend waiting until more content or FLC comes out to fix some of the annoying loops that the game devolves into late game with characters. Some of the monetisation is disheartening to say the least, but if this game ends up resembling Vermintide 2 then I will be happy. But like I said, only invest on this game when it feels worthwhile. Wait for a deal to come on or for the developers to produce a meaningful gaming experience. Thank you for reading my rant.

Dost this Damned Soul possess the ability to endure trials on a level unakin to any level currently beknownst to thou?

Dost thou seek to demonstrate their skill at arms with a quick perception, steady aim, and true grit?

Dearest Damned, hath thou the ear to listen patiently to the changing rhythm of the gunslinger's melody?

Then venture forth into the Bayou, and remember...

If you're the type of person who hates the tutorials at the beginning of the game, then boy is Kenshi for you. Not only will you struggle to survive at nearly every turn because you are told nothing (and we like it this way) but even after you learn all the controls you will still be dogged by the hounds of death at every possible turn. You better be a masochistic because this game is unrelenting in it's determination to ruin everything you have murdered, cheated, stolen, and striven for over the course of your party's life. Think you're safe behind the walls of a newly built settlement with walls, spotlights, and harpoons covering the entrance? WRONG. Watch as an Iron Spider tanks every shot, kicks in the gate, and proceeds to massacre the entirety of your village only leaving the weak and cowardly to survive off of the scraps of debris left in the wake of one Iron Spider's rampage. If the terrain and wildlife don't kill you, then prepare to mine copper until the last strands of your sanity are blown away in the winds of the sadistic turn over rate of Kenshi's Merchants who will barely give you enough to buy enough food for the next days labour.

10/10 game, would highly recommend. We need more developers who put the same level of love and care into their games as Lo-Fi does.

With all the recent DLC's that have come out with this game, I can say that Stellaris has eaten up a fair portion of my free time. I would recommend waiting for a sale to buy all of it's DLC but they are certainly worth the wait in my opinion. A very fun game, though in the late game the engine does tend to struggle processing the vast number of stars and fleets. No major breakdowns though or loss of progress.
