Been waiting a lonnng time for this one, and man, GSC delivered! I'm a huge fan of the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series and this feels like a perfect addition and continuation of the world and story. It also feels accessible to new fans just getting in to it. Frankly, I'm very biased as this is my favorite series of all time, and I am very happy and thankful it made it to launch! Overall I highly recommend this game!

Pros:
Performance has been great overall, no crashes and pretty smooth 60+FPS
The atmosphere is top notch
Incredible sound design
Gorgeous and massive map, new but also fun throwbacks to old games
Very high quality animations, mocap, and voice acting
Fun gunplay, dynamic enemy AI makes for fun fights
Weapon customization
Spooky vibes, bloodsuckers will make you pucker up every time.

Cons:
Mouse smoothing was stuck on by default (has to be disabled in config folder in game files, no in game option.)
Some minor graphical artifacting, mostly in cutscenes
There seems to be a very minor input lag that comes and goes, minor issue overall.
A lot of keybinds seem to be missing or not changeable, I'm sure this will be fixed soon
The quick access slots are definetely made for console, hope we get a better PC option soon.
Loot tables are very generous, finding items way too easily on max difficulty. Difficulty settings need a little tweaking in general.
Story takes a bit to pick up, intro felt a bit slow but gets better!
Not as many gas masks on characters to show off the newer face models (which look good, just wish most characters would have them on to fit the theme more).

How can you possibly expect to make a competeitve, fast paced, first person shooter out of a game made for large scale military simulation, ridden with MMO scale problems...

Pros:
-UI Looks Nice

Cons:
-The tick rate/ Overall lag, delay, and unresponsive nature of CQB in the Arma 3 engine.
-No 3D HUD markers, so there is ALOT of teamkilling.
-The announcer voice is annoying as ♥♥♥♥.
-The watered downed, neutered controls are very off putting for Arma veterans.
-No right click to zoom feature. The sights are permanently locked in the "zoom" mode which adds to the BS of CQB.
-Minimap is a reskined version of the standard GPS, which is far too cluttered and the icons are oversized, making it impossible to tell if it's a friendly or enemy on the other side of the wall.
-Combat Patrol mode with AI... The AI are the most pathetic pile of ♥♥♥♥ that have ever been devised in normal Arma 3, much less in a fast paced mode like this. The damage they take is delayed, their path finding is absolutely awful, and they can STILL fire a single shot through 3 bushes and hit you right between the eyes. There could not be a more frustrating combo.

Conclusion:
Yes, its free, but it is a waste of time and resources to try and bend a massive game and engine that already has plenty of terrible problems with many of the above issues, and force it into a very poor representation of a "competitve shooter". The only way I would recommend this is to a new player, who has never played an Arma game in their life, and wants to get a peak of how this sort of combat can be portrayed in the game, without having to pay for the full game. If you have Arma 3, just play King of The Hill or some other similar game mode for a much better experience.
