A Great Colony Sim that focuses on the stories you as a player create through your interactions in the world. 10/10 would recommend.

I will happily recommend this game to anyone who likes empire builders or 4x style games. It has a refreshing retro feel without the feeling old, and on top of that, has a ton of customizing that the player can do. Absolutely love this game so far and hope that anyone who picks this up does too.

The game in the state it is in right now is similar to base game CK2, somewhat fun if you like Feudal Catholic and not really any fun playing anyone other than a christian. Though the mods are great, and will probably be the reason you keep playing after your first or second vanilla run. I will recommend this game to those who are optimistic about playing a game which requires that you either play a vassal or expand your nation, otherwise leave it for a while and check back in every so often to see if improves.

*Edit* What I mean is the game is more a historical simulation game above all else. Player agency in the game is relegated to whether or not it 'could' have happened in our timeline instead of creating a whole timeline of it's own. It is also missing some of the features of CK2 like Merchant Republics and Nomadic Hordes (both of which have their historical representations; Venice for Republics, and the Mongols and other Steppe raiders for the Hordes). The RP potential for me can only be found in Europe due to the heavy focus on Christianity. Though I will still recommend this game for others that don't mind these things not being in the game, I will warn that they will inevitably will be added as DLC later, probably as 20$ expansions with flavour packs added along side them for 8$-9$ a piece. It does seem that Paradox loves their DLC.

Played the game for a bit, game is quite good and very entertaining to play. You can create any flavor of empire in your imagination, and depending on what type of people you choose, there are many 'flavors'. Would recommend to anyone who likes 4x games. The DLCs are not mandatory but add to the experience.

This is a massive RTS game, if you don't like regulating economy with warfare, and games that make you strain your brain a few times, then I don't recommend this to you, but it is a great game none the less.

I recomend this game for the thinking type of gamer, one that enjoys a "sticky" situation that requires skill, finesse, and strategy to get through, If you are this person, get this game
