12/10 would get betrayed again and loose 2 hours worth of grind

Firewatch is a narrative experience more so than a game, a short one at that about 3-4 hours.
I personally bought this game on a discount and because i was interested in the game visuals and how immersive it can be (planning on working on a little project myself) so overall i dont have any regrets buying this game.
But a caution for others, i DONT think this game is worth the full price.
The story is very captivating but as mentioned by other reviews may appear to fall short in the end.
Its a good narrative but it aint no chirstopher nolan movie. its about 3 hours i would say and gameplay wise there isnt much to it other than walking around and a bit of environment interaction.
It has almost no replay value, the choices i dont think matter a lot (could be good or a bad thing depends on you).
Overall, if you catch this game on sale and have a few bucks to spare, i think its good enough for a 3 hour session, but if you are looking at a survival or sandbox exploration game, this isnt it.

A game which makes you go from "wtf am I seeing" when playing for the first time to planning out the next 30 years of you life to achieve immortal rank...in just 400 hours.

so yeah if you can stick around long enough to understand a bit of the game...u stayin for a looonnngg time.

The devs are one of the most generous ones out there.
They provided the enchanced edition to everyone.

A game made right.

I really dont know where to start from. How did such a nice game turn into this bloodsucking grinding RNG monstrosity is beyond me. The game started out as a simple enough fun adventure/ dungeon clearing MMORPG with just the right amount of grind. But things went ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ right as the updates kept coming. They kept stuffing the game with more and more content and didnt give a ♥♥♥♥♥ about bug fixes(The game STILL has rubberbanding issues), locked it behind time gated grinds, and as if that wasnt enough made the rewards based on RNG(Random Numbers Generator) which basically means mystery box like items.
To put it into perspective... u need to farm a dungeon every week to get materials which will then allow u to craft a CHEST which will then have a CHANCE to get u what u NEED for eg better and more powerful gear. If u didnt get what u need... oh well time to wait another week. u can get MORE of those materials if u clear the higher difficulty ones but that requires better gear.Soo
in other words u are screwed unless u wish to spend 1-2 YEARS grinding the normal dungons or are willing to bend down and let Trion bang the bucks out of you


So in the END... it is really really hard for newcomers to get into the game most of the new player base join in, play it for about a week and then quit basically due to the obvious amounts of grind and pay to not be a virgin forever marketing stratergy. The worst part is u dont even get to pay upfront for what u want.. u can only buy boosts and more RNG chests, enough to almost convert any religious guy into praying and offering sacrifice to the RNGesus to bless him.

The only player base left are the people who have sunk so deep that they cannot come out anymore with 4k+ hours and gold plated names and of course those who just enjoy building........wonder why they dont just play lego instead, but whatever.

DO yourself a favour.. get back to the what's being played most category and start searching for another game man, this one will bring nothing but regret.

This is a really great game.The graphics are not that good but the story line and the simplicity of the game makes up for it.
with a few jumpscares here and there,the game's true fun comes in it creepy atmosphere it creates through all the voice acting which is really really good.

I hope there is a sequel to this because the story unfolds in a weird way.Most of the time i didnt get anything at all and those frustrating puzzle got me a little off track.I think the puzzle could be made more simple as the whole game pratically revolves around its creepy atmosphere and being stuck just ruins it.
