What's not to like? Guns, democracy, liberty, and overwhelming firepower! Greatest fun to have with friends, just don't let them wander into an Orbital Strike. Or do, I won't stop you; They were probably undemocratic anyway.

Seriously though, this game is better to play with other people. If you have no other friends that are fellow helldivers, I strongly recommend opening your lobby to the public. You'll get to meet like minded defenders of Democracy and Liberty. Plus it will save you from being overwhelmed as badly if you went it alone, I promise.

One last thing: Mind your turret. It will take priority on target acquisition over your personal safety. i.e. do not stand in its way.

While this game still has a variety of flaws, the dev team has taken a massive step forward and admitted to their faults and have begun to fix the grievances addressed against them.

Very fun, yet very player involved game. Every aspect of the game is player driven. From resource procurement, to supply production and transport, and the obvious front line combat. If you want to have a somewhat relaxing gameplay, you could play a logistical role, sitting far in the back lines, gathering materials and making supplies to help in your respective war effort. If you want intense combat (especially now with the trench warfare update which turned this game into World War I simulator), you can join the front lines and fight for your respective causes.

Whether you are a Colonial or a Warden, teamwork is required to play this game efficiently. So sit back, relax and hop into the trenches with your comrades for some of the best carnage and complexity to ever grace the top down genre.
