Great Game. Very Fun. A bit buggy, but overall quite fun.

A game that hits you harder than you expected, at moments you didn't think it would.
Gameplay, art, sound, and general aesthetic are very enjoyable.
If you're intrigued by what you see, I recommend you play it.

Theres a lot of salt about the recent update, leading to the reviews becoming mixed. This is probably one of the best updates the game has had, as it updated old perks and buffed two of the weaker killers(Hag and Trapper) with a mix of buffs and QoL changes. Recent patches have also removed or made harder some of the more uninteractive mechanics from the survivors side (i.e. vacuum pallets, flashlight saves). This has led to a lot of salt.
Game and recent changes are great tho, 10/10 would step in just rearmed trap again.

Tough, punishing, yet fun and rewarding. Highly recommend.

Alot of negative reviews are talking about RNG. In my experience, often when it goes wrong it is something I could have prepared for; I could've brought an extra shovel, brought more heroes able to reach their backline, use a blight resist trinket instead of damage, etc. And often it would've been reasonable to not expect things to go wrong! Darkest Dungeon is a game centered around loss and risk vs reward, and it should be expected that things can go horribly sideways. I highly recommend it.

I sure do love having a small peashooter against fully armed foes.
10/10 would die again.

You can pet a dog 50 times tills it gets so excited that its neck is so far below you that you can't reach it.

Loved the game, wasn't as good overall as Borderlands 2 but would still reccomend it. Even if this was DLC, it would cost more than 60 dollars total, as 4 characters alone would have been 40 $ of DLC so i don't get why people are complaining about that. I would still wait for a sale however, as it is currently lacking endgame content and farmability. Doesn't help that the first play through can be extremely easy due to the fact that all the characters (as far as I can tell) have extremely strong possible builds.
