Feels like a worthy heir the fun and polish of Castle Crashers. The art style is a little heavy on the kid friendly side, but the animations are stupidly smooth, and the latest update made the hitboxes wonderfully accurate feeling.

As a long time supporter of Airship Syndicate, I was very excited for Wayfinder, and then equally horrified as the MMO portion was not able to maintain.

HOWEVER - 13 hours in to the ARPG experience, I can safely say that everything I love from this developer is here in spades. Art style (characters, vistas, that late 90s comic books super bad-assery (Like if The Pitt and early Image Wildcats had a baby)), tight combat, and complex systems.

There is still a lot for me to find, but for a game that is in early access, and has effectively been saved from the ashes of history, I would encourage you to drop the 25 dollars to support a damn good studio.

If you have friends that like grinding loot with ya, all the better!

Best with friends. Don't be too serious, death happens.

This is some goofy space fun so far. Even with Rando's. Also turning the ship into a space station might eject everyone into the void where they die. Even if you are going very very slowly.

Be careful out there!

The platonic marvel superhero relationship simulator I never knew I needed in my life. Combat is a nice spin on XCOM and other similar area/turn based combat, but it never gets as satisfying as petting your hell hound Charlie while Dr. Strange and Tony Stark make snide comments at each other in the background.

Even their budget actor for Deadpool is pretty good. No Ryan Renolds, but pretty good!

Mindless fun. More active than an idle game, but only just. No complaints!

Come be a Colonial Marine!

Pros -

Sounds effects and music are true to the film series.
Gun play is fast and loose, and it works.
Better story than Prometheus.
Guns have lots of fun parts to collect and mix and match.
Great Aliens experience (not Alien, go play Isolation for that. We are here to SHOOT BUGS)

Cons -

Wish there was more narrative content (more is coming, I just want it now).
Menus lack polish.
Character models lack polish.
Odd lack of feedback on some headshots versus synth enemies.

This is not a super tight FPS like Destiny. This is a third person (yes there are some first person scopes, I am aware) fast and loose team horde shooter in the Aliens universe. The play experience on the first two difficulties vs the higher difficulties is NOT THE SAME GAME. So you you and two friends are seeking a brain spiking challenge, feel free.

Gun models are true to the films, sounds great, and have a ton of mods to earn, buy, and find.

Worth the dollars and the time if you are an Aliens fan, but it will not hold for 500+ hours like an MMO will (which might actually be a good thing).

A far better GAME than Mass Effect Andromeda, with far better looking characters than either ME:A or DA:I.

The writing varies from cringeworthy to hilarious (more of the latter than former), and all of the voice acting is on point. Only Act 1 is available right now, but it is a wonderful taste of things to come.

Sex scenes are exactly what you paid for, and making your own mini spank movie within the PANDORA system is quite nice.

If nothing else, investing $25 in Subverse means that games like this can get made in the future. We need more of this, and less of the EA/Activision ♥♥♥♥ sandwiches we are being fed.

Jesus CHRIST. We just finished the main story.

This is an abortion of a game, and sin against girl power, writing, and good design. Play anything that isn't this travesty. Don't be like us, DON'T DO IT.

It is shocking how far short this game fell given the amazing foundations provided in BL and BL2.Story, control, feel, writing, style, all are a mockery of what came before. The only place it exceeds it forebears is in visual distance and sky box design. So, yay pretty sky boxes.Skip it, go play some Destiny 2, or better yet, some BL2.
