Do you like playing games with Korean-F2P-MMO-levels of RNG? Except none of the QoL pity mechanics? And it's not even F2P, it's $35? Then boy do I have the game for you!

Let's see all the RNG elements to overcome in order to get one single "end-game" item (in quotes because this game has no end-game to speak of, even less-so than Diablo 3 had):

For your Exalted you'll need:
  • Correct item type to drop
  • Item to be exalted
  • Exalted prefixes to be T7
  • Exalted prefixes to be the ones you desire
  • Exalted prefixes to have good rolls within their tier

If you use the "crafting" system to "help" fine-tune a Exalted to your liking, you have to deal with:
  • Good base Forge Potential on item
  • Randomly re-roll affix rolls until they are good enough
  • Amazing luck with FP used per crafting action, otherwise you brick the entire item instantly after one single re-roll

For your Unique using the most efficient target-farming methods, you'll need:
  • Correct item to drop (basically none of them can be directly target-farmed, just their item type..)
  • Implicit Affixes to have good rolls (can't re-roll those..)
  • A high Legendary Potential

Okay cool, we got insanely lucky and got two good items, we're all done now right? Hah.

Now comes the worst part, you've got to risk both items by combining them, with some of the affixes from the Exalted item being carried over to the Unique item depending on its Legendary Potential (1 LP = 1 affix). So unless you somehow get a 4LP Unique (extremely, extremely, insanely rare), you still have, at the end of all that extreme RNG, a relatively high chance to just brick both your Exalted and Unique that you just spent 100+ hours farming for if your one big desired affix doesn't transfer over.

None of this is reversible, there's no pity system, there's no steady sense of gear progression, it's just sheer and utter RNG.

Do not waste your time, unless you're trying to replace one gambling addiction with another.

Easily one of the best rogue-likes out there, especially if you have some friends to play with :)

♥♥♥♥ I was trying so hard to stay positive about the game. I'm always the one telling people to not leave a negative review just because of the multiplayer. But the game is unplayable. I have a very fast and stable internet connection (120 MB/s down, 40 MB/s up), but I get constant disconnects. It's actually a surprise when things run smoothly. Upon booting the game up, it usually takes 15 or so tries to connect to an online session, and then if I'm lucky I might stay connected to the session for an entire quest or so. I can't even tell you how many times I've been in some high rank quest slaying some Elder Dragon, only to get disconnected halfway through, requiring me to now play solo against the very, very hard monster that had been buffed up by multiplayer (hooray no dynamic scaling!!111).

A simply impeccable game! I could not take my eyes off of the stunning artwork; the detail clearly shows that time was taken with each and every graphic. The action? Amazing! Sometimes I even found myself unable to play with one hand, that's how intense it got! The soundtrack just incaptivates you, every sound making you feel like you are right there in the game. Certainly a must-have for any hardcore gaming fans! 10/10, already recommended to all of my friends!
