9/10, hunt is one of my favourite games of all time.

The new update is really good- new map is fun and interesting, giving new elements like verticality to regular gameplay. New perks are fun- I hope surefoot stays, even if its highly priced. Now, the elephant in the room needs to be addressed. The UI is a bit of a stinker, hence the massive wave of bad reviews. I still recommend the game as the devs have already responded and stated they are working on fixes to common problems. Crytek is doing their best and i fully believe that within an update or two the UI will be fine.

I have never beaten this game. 10/10

Let me just start off by saying this game is great. Amazing work from the devs so far, with more to come.

However, I don't recommend this game as its player base is toxic. There are plenty of people who aren't, yes, but the toxic ones by far outweigh the good ones in terms of impacting gameplay experience. If you're fine with just muting chat all together, go for it, get this game.

But even then, you'll have players team kill you to get you off of the catapult/ballista (understandable if you just team killed some people) just so they can use it. You have people who only spend time trolling team mates. Building spikes in hidden areas to hurt their team, blocking them in to areas, or firebombing team-mates. They'll bring their friends and say you did it, and get you kicked out.

The chat is filled with and the viewpoint of the player base is largely racist and horribly homophobic and sexist. Now im sure theres probably a silent majority that aren't, but if thats the kind of stuff that can stop you from having fun, don't bother picking up a copy.

Otherwise, gameplay is great, the devs are constantly working on bug fixing and adding new weapons and features to the game. Generally, i have a good time and i believe i'll continue playing the game. But I can't in good faith recommend it to people until the community improves, because as it stands its ♥♥♥♥.
