Fantasy Medieval Peasant simulator. It's grindy, setting up your base in the wrong location can add hours to your initial startup in the game.

Performance is a bit jank but honestly I've seen far worse from games far further in development.

Basically it's Valheim Peasant simulator with AI friends

Honestly pretty good for the price point. The game has its issues but with hotfixes rolling out based on player feedback on Day 1. I think the future of this game is going to be something worth following.

This game is CPU intensive.
This game does not cost 250$
Even the base version you get the full experience with the game.
Quests, simple sure.
But even working wth random people and pushing through the starter town is fun.

Will 100% be playing more of this and as it stands I do think Tarkov Refugees will find solace here.

Funny Dark Souls, DnD, Valheim.

Game good. Cruscendos super hard around level 15 imo. But ultimately, great game.

This is gunna be a difficult game for most people to buy or want to buy but hear me out.

1. There is grinding in this game.
2. You should probably find an RP community.
3. You need to fight what is yours

With that out of the way. I can get to the meat of this review.

LiF:YO is a great game when you have a populated server and friends to work with you who are as motivated, if not, more motivated than you are. This game, heavily hinges on RP and being able to create and defend what you have.

Everything is visceral in this game, you see your progress, whether it is digging a hole to building a castle. The world is changed by your actions and in turn settling the world, making it 'Your Own'.

Now if you are alone? Or want to play this alone. You will speak with mid game gear, food, buildings and clothes. You will not get the full experience and in turn be upset.

Let me preface this by saying I have played this game since early access launch back in late 2013 and this game is leagues ahead of what it used to be. But, it has taken 4 years to get to this point and has effectively been in development hell for 4 years nearly has been a cash in on a beloved mod for Arma 2

Do I think now it's a great game? Kinda, but I'm spoiled on being able to enjoy RP communities. Without them, I would've lost interest long ago.

Interest is gone here for me at least. Wait for Beta when it comes out after the rapture. Then maybe it might be worth it.
