First impressions of the DLC were quite poor. Trying to go for Dracula's Adept is probably the most painful out of all of them (I would know as I have all of them).

His kit is not very intuitive, and does a poor job giving you an idea of what to do.

So I will do so instead:

Vampire Form
-You can fire a line of fire pillars that last for a moment after casting (which people CAN get caught in if they try to double back through them)
-Slow ability to let off and aim, can go over some* small obstacles, through windows, you can sometimes curve it to clip through terrain
-Has many, many hitbox glitches

You can use this to catch people stepping, like say at killer shack, act as you are going through the door (while looking at them through the window), then immediately charge it as you step out of sight, and double back, many people will have doubled back with you and can be blasted if you time it right. You should also preemptively prepare this if you know the person will drop the pallet.

Wolf Form
-Faster than Vampire Form, for real this time unlike PTB
-Scent orbs give you haste, you can see these through walls, floors, and ceilings
-The lunging bite is a 2 part combo, you can now bounce it off things to go around corners (unlike PTB)
-M2 can break pallets

Bat Form
-Seems to block aura reads inconsistently, not sure if that's a bug or intended
-You can't see survivors, but you can hear them, generators, see scratchmarks and blood
-Usually a good idea to use this to cross the map quickly, especially at the start of the match
-The teleport is honestly useless in most chases, however it can help you once you've hooked someone, i.e. you can teleport from basement to some loops that would take you 10-15 seconds to get to otherwise

His perks are horrible, the adept will suck. Otherwise I'd recommend something your standard 1-2 slowdown, and a generic chase ender. I was running Corrupt Intervention, Ruin, Undying, and Dissolution, to help patch up his weak points.

Dracula is very, very weak if he has no pressure. If everyone is healthy you're in for a bad time. If everyone is wounded, he's an oppressive monster. When someone decides to unhook, you can line up the fire to hit both every time. When people try to come up stairs, say from basement, you can bulldoze their team with the fire.

No Way Out + Blood Warden with the Iri Alucard's Shield is pretty brutal. You can open the gate, hook someone up right next to it, and catch people as they are about to 'escape'. The numerous fire pillars this spawns got me 4 downs in a single match.

Unfortunately, it is inferior in all respects to previous expansions, aside from graphics, which have seen a noticeable improvement (although not quite as much as originally touted, perhaps due to the wide array of machines being incapable of supporting it?).

From a job-standpoint, little has been added on most* of the jobs, aside from those that received reworks. Pictomancer is very flashy, I like that part a lot, but it is waaaaaaaaay too simple to play to the point of being uninteresting. Viper on launch was more difficult to play, they made changes to make it easier, now I can't really find it enjoyable.

As many have said, the MSQ is bad. It takes forever to get started, basically erases most key characters from the game, as they have little to no dialogue. It feels bland and uninteresting through most of it.

I'm nearing the end of the MSQ, close to finishing it (although a DDOS attack interfered), and to be honest I find the majority of it predictable and boring. Not everything needs to be original, but there's a clash or mismatch of themes in some areas that are pretty stark. Certain zones (trust me, you'll know EXACTLY what I mean) are like, what is this doing here, and why?!

Like comparing it to Heavensward, which has great thematic consistency almost through to the end, or Stormblood which had a bit of ridicule for the split between the two areas, or Shadowbringers, again another great example of CONSISTENT themes throughout, it is easy to see the issue.

Endwalker makes many of the same mistakes, and was panned for them specifically. They decided to double down?

I guess I should be thankful I haven't ran into any Loporrits yet.

Not really understanding some of the negative reviews to be honest.

This DLC adds a whole new layer to the game, the Umbral Abyss (Shadow Realm). There are portals that spawn across the land, which connect to a new area (similar to the underground), has some awesome looking terrain, a ton of new enemies. The maps are hand-crafted, which is very different from the generation of the overworld.

It comes with 3 new tomes, and a fourth tome which has abilities that can only be unlocked through negotiating with the Umbral Demon settlement, which will slowly but surely push you to pure evil. There is a minor transformation unlockable through this, which gives you the classic Shadow Demon Minor Transformation (Eyes & Skin Color), you can also get this through one of the Faction Creation picks straight from the start of the game.

You can unlock the Umbral Demon units through allying yourself with the Demons, or through the more typical means for most of them (Dominating / Subjugating them if they're not mythic, I assume polymorphing them will still work for the mythic units).

The three regular tomes are a T1 Tome of Tentacles which gives a decent T2 Spear Unit, a very strong combat spell that gives unlimited retaliation attacks, hyper focus, and auto-defense to a unit, and the ability to summon a tentacle in battle, among a few other less remarkable things (a root with a low chance on casters, a building, etc.). The T3 Tome of Cleansing Flame mixes Order and Chaos together, favoring Pyromancy and Zeal Builds for some pretty strong combinations. All fires on the map will turn into a special type that do not burn the zealous or faithful, instead stripping away their negative status effects, while condemned units instead lose positive status effects. It adds a strong T4 Spear Unit as well. The T3 Tome of Corruption adds some very strong spells and other effects, along with a major transformation that I do not personally like (generally speaking I'd have preferred a more shadow demon approach as opposed to the umbral abyss, but I digress), although said transformation is strong.

Overall it adds a fair bit of content, the Eldritch Sovereigns have a fair bit of customization, although regular rulers and dragons still have more I feel (I think the Dragon Transformations are the pinnacle of Ruler Design in the game). More importantly they offer unique gameplay options not available to the other ruler types. Dragons have the most interesting in-combat presentation out of all rulers, or had anyways, depending on your build the Eldritch Sovereign can have some pretty insane abilities, and outside of combat also adds a lot on the strategic layer through rituals.

I think it is worth mentioning the free content that was added to the game, as it is ultimately relevant. They reworked the Mystic Culture, which feels pretty awesome now, it is split into three Subcultures, the Summoner one in particular is very good if you are going for a Shadow or Astral Playstyle. There has been a major rebalance of units, ranking up T1s can make them the equivalent of T3s, which is pretty nice for Necromancy in particular, as Magic Origin Skeletons are also Undead, and can become quite powerful through the right combinations.

Vecna is a bit of an odd killer when you first start playing him, I'd recommend watching some various Streamers, and see what they do. Basically his Mage Hand is best used either to A) Counter a pallet that is being drop (using it just as they begin the animation to drop it will pretty much instantly lift it), OR B) You can catch a Survivor attempting to vault it by lifting it just as they begin to vault and that gives them a mini-stun.

There are some interesting combinations with his perks that CAN be very strong in the new meta, I wouldn't say he is broken by any means, but not bad either.

I haven't played much with the Survivor yet, you get a 2 in 1 cosmetically swapping between the two, there are only one set of perks.

They also released a ton of D&D themed Skins for other killers too, which are NOT included with this.

One of the most content rich expansions by far, adds a ton of content.

To be honest with you, this is exactly the kind of expansion I've been looking for since Utopia. I liked the Galactic Nemesis in Nemesis, this expansion adds a new Crisis you can play as. Ton of portraits, ship sets, a new end-game crisis, 3 origins that are pretty much what people have been asking for, and a robot revamp too. Kilostructures are a new early to mid game megastructure that add new ways to generate resources in a slightly different manner than they've been done in the past.

This is easily one of the best expansions. I hope they do a Psionics one that is close to this in terms of scope and breadth.

Makes you feel like Michael Myers.

Permanent undetectable tends to make even seasoned players feel like they're in Halloween, given how many times they trap themselves in a blind panic, or are entirely oblivious to you as you come up to them.

Adds a fair bit of content, the culture is very flexible unlike the previous one that was released.

Each primal animal has a different stacking buff, after 5 stacks you gain a new effect to your attacks, and depending on the unit, you may have an ability to spend the stacks of the effect.

Base Units for the Culture:
T1 Dart Unit, a Ranged Unit that shoots darts, has unique animations, unfortunately as a T1 probably won't see that much use, does have a disengage mechanic
T1 Shield Unit, has a built-in Heal
T2 Shock Unit, looks somewhat like a Berserker, the unique mechanic it has is to do an AoE Cleave Charge
T2 Support Unit, mostly standard fare healing, once the stacking mechanic has triggered the passive effect, you can summon a T2 Mythic Unit of your Primal Animal, which is very strong
T3 Polearm Unit, leaps into the enemy and goes into defense stance

Tomes
T2 Fey Mist
Gives a good T3 Skirmisher with the leap back mechanic, reasonably strong
New Staff enchant for supports, provides a buff for the unit
Clinging Mists makes your units harder to hit, stacks
Minor racial transformation that makes your units unaffected by the miss chance of the clinging mists, gives them random buffs when in the foliage

T4 Stormborne
Empowers coastal cities a lot
New Naga Transformation
Stormbringer is a T4 Racial Skirmisher, reasonably powerful

There are some other additions, but honestly the free patch is where a ton of content is added. Necromancy has seen a huge revamp.
