Now that the Epic Games removal is finally in place, I can properly review the game.

The game is AMAZING. Having played since back in the 4/4.1 days, this is a very enjoyable sequel to EDF 5 and its expansion to mechanics and gameplay.

Pros:
*There are lots of new enemies to blast apart as well as returning favorites.
*There are more missions than ever, as well as boss fights to broaden the experience.
*All the weapons feel like they've got a reason for being there, even if some outperform others in similar aspects.
*The first DLC is just what the game needed, adding many crazy difficult missions and introducing new enemies to the mix.
*It's still fun watching your friend fly to the other side of the map like a shooting star when you misplace an explosive.

Cons:
*Before Epic Games was removed, some desync problems were noticable but has become way better if you only played on Steam's platform.
*Vehicles still feel a bit janky but some enjoy it for its ridiculousness
*There are repetitive missions that could have been made for an interesting way to tell the story but for this game, it feels like padding.
*While it makes sense for a certain class to be limited at some parts of the game, Air Raider is heavily nerfed on some missions due to "circumstances"

I'll give the game a 8.5 out of 10 as it will bring me and my friends 100s of hours of fun.

It's stale, repetitiv and lack innovation. I can't remember a single character on the top of my head. Don't get me started on the loading screens.

Solo play was amazing with it's introduction of time portals and the co-op has just the right amount of complexity for it to feel challenging but doable with enough time and thinking.

Early Access Review
As the name implies the game is very satisfactory. The building mechanics are amazing and easy to use. The progression of the game has a nice flow to it as it makes you feel like you are getting somewhere with each milestone that you reach. It is only in early access but from my experience it is already in the class of fully developed games and should reach new heights with time.

I strongly recommend this game to people who enjoy relaxed gameplay which can be explored alone or with friends.

This review is about the launch of the game and I will update it if they fix what I have to complain about. This will contain a few spoilers about the story and gameplay.

I've played through the tutorial and beaten two campaigns while started a couple of others. The tutorial's story is really good and worthwhile even for those that know how the game works. The main campaign is where the real issue is. It is by no means bad by itself. Every faction is trying to get to the same end goal but that makes it so that every single campaign is essentionally the same. There are cutscenes for all the factions but some are pretty lazy made.

The campaign forces the player to play in a defensive playstyle which drains all the fun away from trying to expand your empire. The realm of chaos and the chaos rift mechanics are just plain boring after the first time. It feels like a chore to get through when it could have been so much better with less annoying mechanics.

There are several maps that feels like they haven't been tested even once, especially the new siege battles. Units respond slower than ever before and will sometimes just not do anything when commanded. There are a lot of bugs and design issue that they will most likely fix but not much has been said so far.

The final battle is a tedious boring battle that can be beaten easily even on harder difficulties. The reward for beating the campaign is lackluster and is the same for every faction even when it doesn't make much sense.

Until Immortal empires comes around I can't recommend the game in it's current state. It's currently just plain worse than warhammer 2 by a lot. It is currently an unfinished mess that isn't worth buying at full price. Don't let developers who have known about issues like this for a long time get away with treating people like this.

Also check out LegendofTotalwar on youtube to see how content creators have tried helping out but have been ignored for the most part. (Note that I don't know if it is true or not but it's worth hearing their story)

I will update this when/if they fix the game and add more content.

No autosave, no skip dialog or cutscenes, if you lose a fight you go back to the title screen with all of your unsaved progress gone, Confusing quests that doesn't let you know where to go if you missed a minor detail in a dialog, Sooo much talking with poeple you don't care about, Rough start with no indication on how much you need to grind beforehand. I only bought it because of the digimon theme and I regret it due to it being far too messy.

I love the game and it's take on the total war format but the amount of money you need to spend to be able to play what you should be able to play in the base game is making me not recommend this game. I think it is a good game with a bad dlc system that I hope they take in consideration for the third entry but I am doubtful that they'll change their ways.

Edit: The patches 1.1 and 1.2 haven't fixed the problems that the game has and I doubt that they will be fixed in the future. I am very doubtful about multiplayer at this point and assume that the game won't get a No man's sky sort of update that it needs.

Cyberpunk 2077 is not a bad game at it's core. It has all the elements to allow the player to have a good time for a few hours but that is it. I beat the game after 23 hours of gametime while also putting some good effort into exploring and doing sidequests.

Mainstory: The player V is not an interesting character and the background choice you pick at the beginning barely makes a difference to the story. The first hour of the game breaks the golden rule of "show, don't tell" by showing a montage of V getting to where she is. The characters that you meet are interesting while a few others are wasted due to not giving them enough screen time. The story is good and I enjoyed it for most of the time.

Sidequests: There are a few quests that are connected to the mainstory which you do not have to do but are lightyears ahead of what else there is to do. There are several sidequests that I found interesting and fun but equally as many that were just "Go kill the random guy" which would be interesting if they weren't all the same.

The world: Oh boy here is my biggest gripe with the game. The creators have made on of the best looking and feeling game worlds that I have been apart of and filled it with nothing. Exploring isn't fun and you will rarely find anything that makes it worth going around the world. It is an empty shell of what it should have been.

Gameplay: It is your standard shooter who tries to make something unique which barely makes it more interesting. There are like several different weapons which feels like weapons should while the special part is that some can shoot through walls, ricochet or aim for you. None are that interesting but to be fair it doesn't take much succeed in the firt person shooter department. You can also throw grenades and hack people but the hacking part is literary just pointing towards and enemy and pick what hack to do and the game does it.

Ai and physics: I'm putting these together here as they are both terrible. Enemies run towards you with a death wish, cops spawn randomly around you and people are boring and stupid when you interact with them. I punched an enemy trough a wall several times which forced me to reload a save each and every time. The physics are equally terrible as they were the cause for 4 out of 5 of my deaths during my playthrough. if you enter a tight corridor and room then any object that isn't glued to the floor will launch or break. Slopes on the ground will launch you forward at max speed or kill you, and trashbags implode on contact or again, kill you on contact.

Conclusion: The game is not finished in it's current state. Even with patches that fixes bugs and glitches I doubt that it will fix the game. There are loads of features that were cut from the game that needs to be added. I doubt that I will touch this game again unless they add something to make they game feel less empty and broken.
