Very good first person dungeon crawling experience. A lot I would not have been able to figure out without guides, but even while using them achieving everything was very satisfying.

Fun experience if you can run it. I enjoyed the story, kept me entertained. Gameplay is very high APM with enough buildcrafting choices to keep me engaged.

I can already tell after a few hours of gameplay that this is going to be a mixed game. I went into this expecting fun combat with some exploration and that's what I got. A lot of people are going to drop it before even finishing the tutorial however, because the starting weapons they give you are very clunky together. As soon as I got the fists I replaced the axe and started having a better time. The customization is very deep and that's where the core enjoyment of the game comes from, figuring out your specific build. It also comes with a loadout system so you can switch on the fly.

I do have some gripes, I find it difficult to actually find Anvils and landmarks sometimes. I know there has to be an Anvil in certain areas due to it just being a dead zone on my map, but I have no way other than to check every nook and cranny. The sight the game gives you barely gives you information, I wish it pointed to the nearest point of interest or at least an Anvil instead of just displaying my quest marker. The perk that tells you when a chest is nearby also barely helps, all it really does is tell me when one is nearby and doesn't lead me to it at all. My controller only really vibrates when I'm right next to it and I've already seen it.

The story so far is also pretty mediocre. I've just taken to reading the subtitles and skipping through the dialogue. The story really never picked up at any point.
One of the earliest main story objectives is you're told to go just go explore the open world and find collectibles with little direction, twice. I had to use process of elimination to figure out where to go. It didn't take too long, but it was pretty overwhelming to just be dropped into.

Overall, I think in its current state the game deserves an average rating. The core story unfortunately cannot be really improved, but I do believe my current complaints could be worked on. I'm having fun, but I don't think this will impress everyone, especially for its current price.

This game was fantastic to stumble upon. I wasn't expecting much at first, but I hooked on both the gameplay and interesting story. Just when I thought it was over it pulled me back in for more. Would definitely recommend to any fan of the sidescrolling action genre.

Nice sweet game with beautiful visuals and great music. Checks all the Metroidvania boxes to make a fun cohesive and fluid gameplay experience.

A fine four hours of gameplay on ELDERBORN difficulty. A mixture of a bunch of different action genres. It reminded me of Doom, Dark Souls with the leveling elements, some Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. Overall a very fast paced and fun experience. It came out of early access as a fine product.

I had a lot of fun with this game from a writing standpoint. I laughed at quite a bit of the memes and references to modern nerd culture, especially all the fighting game ones. A lot of relatable and human moments are written out, alongside some fourth wall breaking gags. I felt like there was a good pace between the jokes (which usually got me laughing out loud quite a bit), and the serious moments. The art is great, I especially like the intricacies of the many piece girl's summer school outfit (which is used to its full effect in certain scenes, wink). The characters are likeable, I'm sure that there's at least one girl for every kind of nerd out there. The routes stay pretty upbeat typically with some moments here and there that made me feel for the characters from the "Love Triangle" aspect of the game from the girl you don't pick.

Overall I think it was a very worth it experience for myself. It took me the 23 hours to clear every route, so it isn't the longest eroge out there. I hope the future remains bright for the B-Team.

Secret Word: Fantasy

Fun little experiment I'd say, didn't cost me much.

I ended up buying the all champions back and got some good fun out of the game, but with the announcement of Battlerite: Battle Royale being a separate game it seals this game's fate.
