Game is great and I am having fun with it and all..BUT there are some very annoying issues:

Seems to have a memory leak. Everything runs great at first, but over time it starts having more and more frame drops/ stuttering that persist with the whole PC even after the game is closed.

Very annoying bug with standoffs. Sometimes they work, sometimes your character just stands there doing nothing waiting to get smacked in the face.

AKA my PC is not the issue.

Will change to positive review when at least the memory leak is fixed. Have to restart my PC after playing the game so my PC acts normally.

The game itself is fantastic. Huge improvement over the first game. The microtransactions, while dumb, are not even close to necessary. Other companies will add a bunch of them and then make the game bad in ways where the microtransactions are the solution to the bad design, but that's not the case here (I have not bought any of them and don't plan to, I did preorder tho, and that apparently came with a few):

Wakestones? You find plenty of them already, 5 extra won't help you if you're dying that much. I have like 6 of them currently at level 25.

1 Portcrystal? It only adds another location you can travel to IF you have the ferrystones to travel with to begin with. No real impact on the game.

Rift Crystals? I started with 1500 because of preorder, I now have over 3k, I may have spend like 200 of them so far? Not needed.

All of the other one off items are also easily found/ bought in game and not even close to needed.

Yes, I think it is stupid they are selling them, but it is single player. Other people buying them have no effect on you, and you can play the game just fine without them. Just ignore them and instead you'll have a ton of fun with the game.

The game is absolutely great. Way more content than D4, and not as complex as POE. It'll take a while to catch up to the shear amount of content that POE has, but don't forget POE 1.0 was only through Act 3. Had a very rocky launch, but from what I can see they have completely fixed it, at least for the US servers. I hope all the people who review bombed for the servers come back and remove those now that the servers are good.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this dumpster fire of a game at all costs. Steam won't even refund me this broken mess even though I see other people in the reviews who got refunds after playing 30hrs. Great job steam.

Despite negative reviews, this is still a solid game. Yes, it went free to play, but anyonr who had purchased the game before this was immidiately upgraeded to the prime status, and as a prime status player, you dont not play with non-prime players (which is where all the surge of cheaters are at). I can't speak on behalf of the free to play servers because I bought this game at launch, but the prime servers are just fine. Sure, you encounter a hacker here and there, but it's not common. if you enjoy the game and you're only complaint is the hackers, just pay the $15. The game was more than that before the F2p switch and it was well worth it then, so it sure is now.

EDIT:
To all the people asking for a reward for having purchased the game already, you're reward is getting the Prime and not having to play with all the f2p people who either have no clue about the mechanics of the game or are just hackers. Lose the stupid entitled attitude and be happy about that.

this past huge update is so broken..my brother's game won't even progress past the first objective and I can't access all of the "new features"

I really have not put much play in to this game at all, but from first impressions, it looks like it WOULD be very fun if it had more people. I played through the tutorial and tried out a few classes that were all pretty fun and unique. I pictured joining into an actual game with a lot of other people where there would be strategical warfare going on between the two teams with a good mix of all of the classes. Instead I joined a lobby with two other people, and that's all I could get. It's very sad that this game is free to play and still people havn't jumped on it. Might come back to this if it ever gets a decent sized community.
