Early Access Review
Best zombie survival sim out there. Stick with the learning curve and it will be worth the price you pay.

TL;DR -- Worth a buy at a discount. Don't go into this game with the idea of how good DL1 was in its final state (with the no. of updates and changes it went through). Yes I am salty I paid full price for this and didn't go with my gut to wait for a sale.

Let me begin by saying that I do recommend this game, but not at full price. I would say at a 50% discount or better is when to dive in, so for me this is currently a NO.

After the cracker that was Dying Light 1 and the atmosphere/zombie apocalypse theme it set, the zombies themselves really got kicked into the back seat of a 7-seat van in this game. Maybe even the boot. After the updates and changes the original went through, it was always going to create high expectations for the sequel out of the gate because for the most part, DL1 players will have the 'complete' game the original ended up being in our minds. That in itself is why I think this game was a let down.

It is a Human vs. Humans vs. Humans game with zombies roaming around mostly as an inconvenience. Even though NPC's say you're fully sick and a beast around town, already making a name for yourself they will ask you to fetch an item, like a scarf or jewels for them from a dangerous area because they can't, or need it to sing.

Don't get it twisted however, DL1 also had quests like these but the key difference is environment itself had more atmosphere and that's the kicker. You felt that something could go wrong or were expecting special mobs to appear and night quests made you think twice about completing them (initially at least). I will say that DL2 has more NPC's around, so the cities themselves don't feel as dead (as if you're the only person running around except for in key areas/locations). The trade-off to this is that, while the city ain't as dead, the roaming dead themselves are just that -- dead content. There isn't a threat, or danger of zombies. Combat doesn't feel necessary or satisfying enough to have your weapons be on the verge of breaking for no clear benefit or skill upgrade beyond those in the front of quests.

The first two to three hours of this game feels the best, making your way to the city. The feeling of the unknown, wondering when special infected will be in your path and what lies in between dark area and your destination. The thing is, the game itself doesn't actually start and open up until you're beyond this and questioning whether the full price you paid was worth the wait after your refund quota has elapsed. And those special infected? Keep waiting. (Howlers shouldn't count).

Looting felt like a core element in the first game, where up until much later on, you would actively seek out components and make sure you felt you had enough stock of your favourite items and throwables. Remember the loot house next to the Tower? That brings me to the next part. The crafting.

The crafting system feels bolted on. Core upgrades can take hours to fully complete because of the requirement to hunt zombies for 'trophies' as an upgrade component. Not a bad idea when the zombies are the core of the game and there is a balance of risk vs. reward but they're not. The upgrades themselves aren't game changers either -- I would argue that they're not even necessary beyond the first few levels, and to make items like your bandages heal you quicker and for a higher amount (making them more efficient to collect and create). This makes the looting/crafting/upgrading loop uninteresting and straight up unneeded.

Where it drags for me is in the second act of the game -- it doesn't give you the feeling of wanting to progress and complete quests/missions because either they, or the rewards themselves, just don't matter or make a difference in the end. You get told what they need, and go get it. While you're getting it, you can easily forget who you're on the hunt for, or be asking yourself why. The inconveniences along the way are mostly environmental and there is really no feeling or threat of danger that is not gravity. They don't really add to the experience or the atmosphere except for a few. I can't remember one side-quest NPC that stood out in this game, but when we think to the original I can think of the Gas Mask Man, Dawud, Commander Jeff and of course Gazi. All within the first 4-6 hours only.

I think the skill trees themselves aren't that innovative either. Granted you never did and won't use all of the moves anyway but a few good ones -- your decision making after the first 5 or so skills in each tree that you like will be based on which ones look the least s***.

Visually it looks great. There are more parkour options that do dry up once you get your hands on two main tools (paraglider and grappling hook) as you will then be using those two primarily but this also happened with the hook in the original. The story is OK, and the devs seem to care for their game so I am sure with time, QoL, gameplay and environmental updates the game itself will improve as the original did and become great in its own right. At least, I hope so.

Probably one of the best proper and true RPG games ever made. You with your character will go on a journey from from being a measly prisoner into being whatever you want. You want to be Khajiit monk that uses his fists and words to fight your battles? Do it. You wanna be lowly Argonian with low personality and be subject to racism, ridicule and slavery? Do it. Or do you want to be a Dark Elf enforcing you rule of a tribunal religion onto others and maintaining your dominance against the invaders? What ever you want to do, you can do it. Sure it won't be easy, but it's not impossible and it's up to you to find out the key to your success. Every play through you do will always be different from one another as choosing how you build your character and what factions you give your allegiance too will affect how other factions and people see you and can affect quests along the way. In the end however, you will finish the game with your character being the one to change the world of Morrowind forever.

The game will not hold your hand at all and it can be absolutely brutal at times if you get into a encounter unprepared,so always come prepared with potions or scrolls(and save). There's no fast travel besides the scarce means of transportation to main cities but that will cost you gold for a one trip only. The game also uses a dice roll system with all your character's actions and it's based down to your fatigue bar and your overall level in that specific skill so it might take some time getting used to missing 99 percent of your attacks even though it looks like your hitting the enemy however as you level your skills up your chances for landing attacks will also increase.

The game also requires a couple of mods such as MGXE and Morrowind Code Patch to fix the bugs and to utilise the full power of your machine as this game in old af. Overall, this game is must have for fans of the Elder Scrolls and RPG fans, and trust me, once you sink your teeth into this massive game, you'll realise how shallow Skyrim truly is and how player choice and freedom is severely removed in future titles of the Elder Scrolls series.

KOTOR 2 is a darker and a more serious game compared to the game that came before it. In my opinion the story and companions are way more engaging then KOTOR 1 and the character of Kreia is an entire reason on its own to play this game. If you like turnbased DnD style gameplay then you'll really enjoy this game even though it may seem quite dated. If you decide to purchase this game then PLEASE download the Restored-content mod in the Steam Workshop as it is pretty much required if you want to enjoy the full experience( since this game was unfortunatly rushed and unfinished in certain parts of the game.) ALSO MAKE SURE YOU TURN V-SYNC ON OTHERWISE YOUR CHARACTER WILL FREEZE EVERYTIME YOU EXIT COMBAT! Have fun and enjoy the game.

It's battlefield 3! what more can you ask for?
To get the game working properly, disable Origin overlay and launch the game through battlelog on your browser. That's the way I do it and it works like a charm.
