In just 2 short weeks since the release of the optimistic roadmap, the developers have so far stayed true to their words, and delivered on several points. I am hopeful that they will continue this positive trend, and so I've changed the review to positive, but until all roadmap points are implemented, I will leave my previous review's text below, as a word of caution, should they go back on their promises. In the meantime, I'd like to thank Gaijin for their work so far, let us hope they won't disappoint.

Below is my previous review, unedited:

TLDR: I can absolutely NOT recommend this game, in any capacity, due to the unbelievable greed and attitude of the developers.

The game has seen a steady decline in playability over the past few years, owing much to the greed of the developers, and their complete disregard of enjoyment in a game that could be thousands of hours of fun for hundreds of thousands of people.

In it's current state, the games economy has seen the most drastic degradation ever since the developers have started to think that it would be a good idea to force people to basically pay if they wanted to be able to play in a game that is advertised as "free to play".

To make this a bit more clear: Every vehicle in the game has a repair cost, if your vehicle gets damaged, or destroyed in a match, you are forced to pay out this cost, which is usually around 20000 silver lions, up to extreme examples of over 80000.
If the average player, in an average match, with no premium account, premium vehicles, or boosters activated, gets a K/D ratio of 1, and for example, lose 4 vehicles in the process, They will lose money. If you cannot afford to pay out the cost of repairing your vehicle, you will be unable to use it until the free repair timer is over which can be over 2 weeks long. Couple this with the fact that higher tier vehicles, cost just shy of 1,500,000 lions to buy.
This is not even touching on the grind that players are forced to endure, even if they pay money, which, can be over 100 dollars, just to start what is basically a second job, if you have a specific high tier vehicle you want to play.

Do not, under any circumstances, play this game, not until the developers will cave to the players demands and forgo their practice of trying to suck their customers dry at every turn imaginable.

Rimworld made me pour a good week of my life into a colony, only for it to end up being eaten by insects right after a group of space marines dropped into my dining room.
They even burned the human leather furniture :(
