After playing this at the PC Gamer Weekender event and throughly enjoying myself, and it not being expensive, I thought I might as well give it a go in the comfort in my own home. I do really like the game, the story mode is strangely all fully voiced which I wasn't expecting, there are improvements that I think could be made, I don't enjoy being matched up with the champion players that are a way higher rank than me, more and more I find myself getting absolutely destroyed by a random Japanese person.

I played a fair amount of this at assorted conventions before I bought it, so I had a pretty good idea of what I was getting into before I did. I thought I'd wait until a sale because the game I don't think is worth full price, saying that, even if it's just a slight discount, it's definitely worth it, I was put off buying it because of the common review saying how the devs barely update it anymore, for me it's not a massive deal, annoying that the game is still in early access and they're not doing anything with it, but still. The gameplay is pretty much the same every time you play, that makes it sound repetitive, yet you don't get bored, it's ridiculously fun with a great soundtrack. I never played the original, but I know that those who did aren't massive fans of this, either way, it's definitely worth picking up even if just to give it a try.
