Despite being a decent title when running properly, the majority of the game is riddled with bugs in their quests that lock off certain aspects of the game unless one is willing to start the game over and pray that the bug does not resurface in a fresh play-through.
The worst part is that a large amount of these bugs have been pointed out by other players when the game first released in 2019 and continue to this day. However rather than address these game breaking faults (eavesdropping bug preventing progress in "blackmail" quest, scarf quest not allowing delivery to a certain character and the subsequent missing out of 2 hints, many other quest related bugs, and the combat lock freaking out when there's the 'rare' 2+ enemies on screen coming from different directions) they'd rather fix an infinite xp exploit which trivializes an already lackluster combat system that is ironically a watered down version of Bloodborne.
The story is decent, if a bit heavy handed at times with their messages that they want to convey to players (this is the same studio that made "Life is Strange" so don't go expecting the moon on a stick in terms of complex morals, and expect plenty of pandering) and I wish they put more into crafting a cohesive and tightly knit story rather than their sorry excuse for a crafting system.
Overall, would not recommend this game, however it doesn't "suck" as much as it just "bites", my "stakes" in this title when I first started playing were high though as the hours wore on I realized they were in "vein". If you really want to "sink your teeth" into a better vampire based title, I would recommend Vampire the Masquerade (Bloodlines) with a mod to patch in the cut content.
