Early Access Review
A great game to learn the basics of pixel-art.
- Fun and simple tutorials.
- Challenges to get started with drawing.
- A few minigames to make simple pixel-art for yourself.

Still in early access as of writing this review, but I can`t wait to see more.
Dev is also very active in the discussions and takes feedback.

A solid, old-school RPG-experience using the voxel-style to build its gameworld. This game has its focus on combat and exploration, and does both well (more details below). However, if you like playing RPGs for their story, then this might not be for you, because, well, there isn´t really one.
But the game has a good sense of humour, and the world feels alive, with characters running around even outside the cities, having their own adventures, and giving you useful advice.

Combat is, like in many classics RPGs, turnbased and defined by the classes you picked for your team-members. The jobsystem is the core of it all, giving you the option to switch roles, leveling them up to unlock more skills, and mixing them to create your own strategies.
Progress in those classes is however tied to the individual character, so specialising your members is recommended. You may use passives you unlocked for different classes, and can equip one skillset from another class to use next to your main one. Skills you unlocked while leveling one class aren't useless if you switch, because you can then still use them.
A plus for the combat-system is also how many information you are able to look up while fighting.
You can always see what skills are being used, how much damage you deal or take, what your hit- and crit-chances are, and how threat/aggro is split between your party. This makes analysing the fight and rethinking your strategy very comfortable.

Exploration is key in this game. The world is 3D and you will often have to solve jump-sequenzes to get to important places. Those may sometimes be frustrating to deal with, but the jumping-stystem works well enough to not feel unfair.
Looking around is important, because you will not only find loot, but also dungeons which are part of the progression. Those pose not only a challenge, with bosses and puzzles inside, but will often contain a crystal at the end, that will unlock a new class to use.

Final verdict: a great game for anyone that likes classic RPGs, loves exploring a vast and well crafted gameworld, and enjoys experimenting with different classes and skills to come up with new strategies.
Also, with such a low price, this is an absolute steal.

Terraria is one of my all-time favorite games.

If you just take a quick look at it you might think it´s just Minecraft in 2D and pixel. But it´s not. Terraria focuses on exploring, looting and fighting, slowly building up your character with every piece of gear you find. Combat looks easy, but can become very hectic when facing the various Bosses in the game, demanding good dodging and strategie from you. Every failure brings a learning-effect, and every victory rewards you not only with loot, but also other forms of progression, like the access to new areas to explore and loot. Of course building and crafting works itself into this road to developing your character. You rise up from a normal human swinging around a wooden sword to defend against puny slimes, to a flying hero fighting giant Monsters in the sky with magic.
This game is also lots of fun with friends, creating many good moments, when struggeling against Bosses together, exploring dangerous dungeons while avoiding traps, or snatching that one item everyone wanted from a chest and showing it off.

I highly recommend this game to anyone looking for a fun game to play with friends, that doesn´t take much to get into, but hooks you easily.
