BPM is an odd combination of fps, rhythm game and rogue like that works incredibly well and gives a fun and fast paced experience for a good price. Once you are able to get into the rhythm the game sets it gives an incredible rush when you're able to bob and weave between enemy fire while taking down all the enemies that you face, all while listening to a great soundtrack that you help enhance with the sound coming from the combat.
While the game is great fun it isn't without its flaws. The biggest are the visuals, and somewhat the content available. The look of the game is brought down heavily by the amount of saturation that hangs heavy on every facet of the game from the environments to the enemies. It leads to issues of being able to determine where enemies are located sometimes during the chaos of combat, which can lead to some cheap and annoying deaths. The other issue, the content is not where near as egregious as the visuals, however there is not as much content as I would like. While every weapon and item is fun to discover and mess with there aren't a huge number of them which leads to runs feeling somewhat similar after playing for a while. Along with that the items don't really lend themselves to creating builds but rather getting items to simply make yourself more powerful, which leads back to the issue of runs feeling similar after playing a few. This is alleviated somewhat by the different playable characters but that can only do so much.
Overall, while all of the game's content can be seen pretty quickly, it is still and incredibly fun experience that I feel is worth the price
