An atmospheric roguelike RPG with an exquisite artstyle and an interesting twist with card combat mechanic. Pretty hardcore but way more forgiving and less grindy than Darkest Dungeon which it inspires from a lot. The setting is dark and gritty, and non-mandatory narrative pieces spice it up well. A bit rough around the edges but well worth trying out at the very least.

An incredibly atmospheric walking simulator with very simple puzzles here and there along the way. Rough around the edges. I mean, very rough. Done by one man after all, so beware. But due to its special theme and vibe, this game is really one of its kind. And that's what redeems all its flaws to me.
Imagine S.T.A.L.K.E.R or Metro 2033 stripped of their gameplay routine almost entirely, with only the atmosphere left to focus on. Viscous. Bleak. Creepy. Meditative. Unspoken... It's like a gamified Andrei Tarkovsky's movie. So if you are a fan of his talent or enjoyed the games mentioned above primarily for their atmosphere, 35MM is simply a must-play title for you!

Arguably the best game of the last decade! Excellent story, convincing and memorable characters, always intriguing quests, diverse living world with unmatched exploration potential, simple yet rewarding combat, stunning visuals, unique medieval fantasy atmosphere and last but not least - Gwent! Of course, Witcher 3 is not without its flaws, but c'mon, there's nothing even worth serious criticism. A must play title!
And incredibly it gets even so much better with add-ons!

Although I'm no huge fan of hack'n'slash RPGs, PoE was the first game of this genre since long ago (since D2 I bet) which managed to keep me playing for longer than just a few hours. Sure, I played D3 through but rather forcing myself than with relish, and I absolutely agree with the opinion that PoE is a way better match for the Diablo franchise than D3 itself. At least, it features the right look & feel, proper dark atmoshere, tons of customizable loot, much more interesting character development, and last but not least - appropriate size and length. And on top of all that it's completely free! "Free to play" but not "pay to win", so you can enjoy it to the full without spending a single cent.

The downsides? Yeah, they exist too, but I'd describe them to be minor and inessential. Permanent connection to the server in a single-player game (but that's commonplace nowadays), somewhat bad placement of waypoints across locations which eventually forces you to replay certain (quite large) locations twice or even more times, rather sophisticated skill tree (not necessarily a bad thing). But the rich core gameplay pays it all off, I must say.

In any case, I strongly recommend this brilliant game to all RPG fans and to anyone who loves good games no matter what genre they are. Despite some minor flaws, it is fully capable to carry you off the reality for some considerable time and give you bright and memorable experiences.
